Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

So I extended my Golf R lease for 6 months and it is due to go back at the end of Jan. The R is easily the best all round car I have had the pleasure of driving. But I need to be (a lot!) more sensible with my next lease choice so was very interested in the Tiguan R Line deals (how will I deal with the drop in power?!) - especially as VWFS have been very acommodating with my Golf R lease (50% discount on excess mileage after calling 1 year in, gave me the option to extend lease by 6 months or 12 months at decent monthlies).

Anyways, long story short - I played 3 VW dealership fleet depts (Listers vs Inchcape vs Jardine Motors) off against each other (all via email) and managed to get the Tiguan R Line 2.0 tdi BMT 150 4Motion DSG for £400 IR + £280 pm all inc VAT on 5k miles, excess mileage charge 7.2ppm = total £6,840 over the 2 years. This was with Lancaster VW Aylesbury & Milton Keynes (Jardine Motors). The guy did say that this price left them with very litlle profit and that he had to "get approval from his boss" to offer it.

Got the documentation through - all approved and signed for - looking at Dec/Jan delivery. Not looking forward to almost double the 0-60 speed vs the R but the spec in the Tiguan is awesome plus I love the way it looks.

Hope this helps for those looking at Tiguans - the deals are real!!
Did your monthly payment stay the same for the Golf R extension?

I went to Johnsons VW Birmingham. The deal I got wouldn't set the world on fire but it was decent enough - and I needed a car ASAP. £2600 upfront and £222/month for 23 months. R-line, no options but as solid white was difficult to come by, I had to pay extra for pearlescent black. Actually looks better than white does.

The engine is a little underpowered but not so much that it would cause an issue in day to day driving.
How many miles PA is this based on?
5K. I'm hoping that VWFS do offer half-price on excess miles as suggested by other posters on PH, as I've covered 400 miles in a fortnight!

Cheers for the heads-up.

Reference the above car: For anyone new to this - don't waste your time posting questions on this thread. Just phone and ask, or as said, simply email your details and order your car.

Anyone aware of any good lease deals on a Merc SLC ? I recall there used to be what seemed to be good value on SLKs.

To all those asking for the contact details - see the post by David East above. He was the guy at VW who sorted my Tiguan lease out. He was very responsive to my emails (more so than the the other dealerships I spoke to)

No the monthlies increased but some of the increase was due to my projected mileage going well over the 5k pa. Was a bit of a no brainer as it meant deferring a chunky IR payment on a new lease....plus I wanted to keep the car a bit longer!

None that I've seen myself. The 4-series convertible was very good value a few months back.
It's a case of watch this thread for this 1/4 deals to come through.

On Friday I filled out the Personal Proposal form, apparently its "All sorted", and the official order is sent over the weekend, then the order will come mon/tues this week.

Is this normal, not to sign anything to secure the deal/price?

Passat alltrack offer was a different kettle of fish - they were factory orders and incorrectly priced by VWFS. These are stock cars with lowered price just to shift. No where near that level in terms of pricing.

Looks like all the deals on the Tiguan have changed... R Line & SEL models have gone up in price, only deals seem to be on SE Nav and the basic spec one.

You're missing the point.

A VW dealer posts an awesome deal on limited stock that will be shortly gone. He posts his contact details and says get in touch quick.

Subsequently we have posters asking various questions on the thread.

In the meantime, the non-snoozers are getting in touch with the chap in the real world and getting their orders in.
