You're missing the point.
A VW dealer posts an awesome deal on limited stock that will be shortly gone. He posts his contact details and says get in touch quick.
Subsequently we have posters asking various questions on the thread.
In the meantime, the non-snoozers are getting in touch with the chap in the real world and getting their orders in.

In the meantime, a couple hours of 'snoozing' means other dealers/brokers have added their offers to the party.
CVL
Golf GTI 5dr
£2400 initial rental
£96 x 23 monthly rentals
All inc VAT
Admin fee - £180
5k pa
Total payable over term £4788 - equivalent to £199.50 per month.

A couple of phone calls to local dealers has also secured a deal for a family member on the same car. £193 per month on a 1+23 term - dealer said it was the last particular car in stock (in terms of colour/door/transmission). Not all snoozers are losers.
Don't get me wrong, I agree with your point for those dilly dallying over several days - then you will lose out on a deal. But to post questions within an hour of a deal going live doesn't mean you're going to miss out on it.

I've been wondering at what point the Alltrack leasers will get twittery about their next deal?
This is my first lease and only took it because of a few factors, one of them being it was dirt cheap combined with the car being pretty well specified as standard. I've got money in the bag from when I sold my previous car, and am adding to it monthly. I'll decide nearer the time if a lease is the way forward or to get back into my own car.I'll probably buy as a deal like this is unlikely to arise again, and the type of car I'm generally interested in (larger engine, lots of toys) aren't cheap to lease.

I don't suppose you know the lead time on these?

Never say never, you just don't know what's around the corner. You can't make that judgement until you start looking in 2 years or so. To me that's part of the fun of leasing - don't go in with preconceived ideas of what you want, let the discounts speak and you'll end up with something you hadn't really considered - there are so many great cars to try out - why stick with your usual models and then keep them for too long!

It didn't seem that great a deal for stock (stock deals are of course cars they are stuck with and desperate to shift), and the salesman's attitude wasn't great either. ("quick, buy it now, no time to shop around, honest")Edited by mikeN54 on Monday 3rd October 13:02

Local VW dealer coming up with a very similar deal (around £200 per month "amortised") for a 5 door GTI with DSG
4 week delivery being quoted.
Once 100% confirmed I'm probably going to go for it as its £100 per month cheaper than the Cupra deal, which was already superb.
Interesting...when will you know more? I'm in the same position. My Cupra has been delayed by a month and this has caught my eye!4 week delivery being quoted.

Have you looked into cancelling the Cupra yet?
Cheers!

I would lose my £200 Seat deposit I assume but that is all.

Looks like all the deals on the Tiguan have changed... R Line & SEL models have gone up in price, only deals seem to be on SE Nav and the basic spec one.
Confirmed with SCL - called and they have deals but only lower spec ones (and only on limited mileage it seems) - am looking out for a deal on 4motion Tiguan SEL or R-Line, or alternative SUV that has hefty discounts... nothing seems to come close so far thoughGassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
