Fastbug - could you better these terms on a C43 coupe?
Sadly not. C Coupe is really hard to get hold of, I've only just had an order matched last week that I took in July. So support has been wound back on them. There are a few leasing companies with terms issued before availability became so limited, so it may be cheaper elsewhere
Cheers. Tempting deal in the S5 then...
Got the S5 quote fancy the navarra blue with the grey leather. No dealers around mine have one to look at though.

Lovely combo. My local dealer has a static demo due on the 31st but I'm
out of the country. Don't think deliveries are due until next year.

Feb i was told. Goes above my 350 a month ceiling but for the new s5 its a pretty good deal.

Its an awful deal really.
This is what I was thinking.

5k pa with/without metallic paint. It's just a mediocre deal on a Golf R that anyone can get - don't see any 'loyalty' offer there....

Not as good as my current deal, but the best I can find at the moment. Can't see a better deal in any of the usual lease sites. Plus no arrangement fee, so could cancel if something better comes up.

Also got my extension quote today, £268 pm for 12 months and that's with no additional mileage (I.e. 20k over the 3 years) so not great either.

Just returned my Golf GTD after 24 months and 35k of issue free and enjoyable motoring.

Had a couple of scrapes to the bumper and alloys and someone opened their door into the offside front wing creating a little dent about the size of a 5p.

Didn't have the time to get the car repaired so was expecting a hefty fine. So was happily surprised when the inspector issued a £36 charge.
Wow that's cheap as chips! I've got a GTD myself , not had it for too long but I've got a few small kerbs on the wheels too.. guess I won't bother getting it repaired then?!

Quick question for anyone who works in the industry.

The new 5 series was officially unveiled on the BMW UK website yesterday with first cars arriving Jan/Feb next year apparently. Any idea how long before the lease deals are likely to be released and orders can be placed? I've currently got an XF on order as my next company car but looks like it's going to need canceling due issues around options etc. Current list only has the F10 5 series on it so hoping to delay long enough for the new one if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Are you certain this is for the new 2017 S5? Some of the spec and options look like the old model. What does it state on your quote?

I've agreed to a lease on a Golf R. I signed on the dotted line with the lease company 2 weeks ago on Monday and we still don't have a confirmed order number from VW.

Is this something I should worry about do you think? The dealer has reportedly told the leasing company that they've ordered the car and they're just waiting for confirmation of a build week, and the leasing company reckons it will take approximately 16 weeks.

Is an order number even a thing? Perhaps I'm worrying about nothing, but never having leased a car before (or even bought a new car) I'm completely inexperienced in what is normal and what isn't. Thanks.

Lease deals will be available as soon as lease companies and dealers are able to make orders.

How good the lease deals are will depend on how much the order books fill up at the dealers.... if there are limited factory build slots then there will be no incentive for BMW to offer support for the model and lease deals will be pricy. New models, especially for cars that sell well, are often not great for lease deals early in the model lifecycle.

Never got a VW order number for mine. It's much delayed and I have little in the way of updates. Due mid Nov. Depends on the fleet company. Obviously going direct or with VWFS you should get one.

Thanks for your reply.

If you did get it in mid November how long would you have been waiting?

Aye, I know how it works, I just wondered if anyone in the industry has been given an indication on when the order book will open. It's a company car so monthly costs aren't really an issue as it'll either end up on the list or not.

It's the new tiptronic gearbox and my quote has virtual cockpit address as an option. So yes new 2017 car.

It does look good value for the new model. I just need to make the man maths work as my CLS lease doesn't end until September 2017 and i've just leased a TT for the wife. Oh not to mention we also have 3 kids. One of them could always walk I guess!!

Hahaha this cracked me up. Spoke to Audi UK and dealers will not have any new A5 or S5's in showrooms until the end of the year. Even though you can order now. Odd. The front end looks a bit odd in the pics so I was hoping to see one in the metal first. On the fence.
