You can track your order here - https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/owners/track-my-order

I had to chase the broker for an order number and have just been on live chat with VW to get an approximate build date.
Live Chat person just told me I've been allocated Build Week 46, w/c 14th November. The schedule is then as follows:

  • Up to 2 weeks to build the car
  • Up to 7 working days to transport to Port of Exit (Germany)
  • Up to 10-15 working days to be allocated a ship
  • Up to 7 working days to arrive in UK
  • On arrival in UK, up to 48 hours to offload from ship
  • 12 hour wait in compound
  • Up to 5-7 working days to deliver to retailer
So I should have it sometime in around 2019, when it's due to go back mad
There is of course a queue to allocate a build week but one started the car will take 2-3 days to build
It takes nothing like 7 days. More like 1 day. It can take 10 days to be allocated a ship to Grimsby but again, you'd be unlucky

In my case from a build week of 3 Oct it arrived in the UK on 12 October. Start of build to hitting UK was 9 days.
It takes less than 24 hours to unload from the ship.

I realise this isn't a lease deal and it's not really a fair comparison, but I received this 'offer' today via email for a PCP deal on a bog standard 2 series oil burner. It boggles my mind that people would actually bite on a deal like that when way more interesting metal can be leased for less!

Rubbish deal as you say - my 240i was delivered yesterday via National Fleet Services.

3+23 @ £389 for 10k miles p/a.

I still miss my leased M135i. That sweet sweet straight six was just a joy.

Just a general observation I've seen with Mercedes of late, is that many cars are only 10% extra to go from 10k to 15k.
Quite handy for those who rack up the miles.

Ok so the Skoda Kodiaq prices have been announced and the 2.0 Tdi 150 SE DSG 4x4 is £28500, the same price as the Superb Sportline estate which currently leases for £2400 down £ 23 months at £199.
Does the collective think it is a fair assumption the the Kodiaq will lease at same price?

Let's hope so. Trying to convince the wife to get a scout but this will suit her better. Guess it depends how well they sell but you're right the pricing is bound to be similar.

I imagine the pricing will be based on forecasted deprecation rates, therefore it could be different to the Superb?

Apart from the mileage, that doesn't look a great deal.

I've just taken delivery of the following from G2L:

Volvo XC60 D4 R-Design Lux Nav Geartronic with metallic paint, heated seats and both parking sensors plus including maintenance.

3+35 on 10k @ £382/month including VAT.
Yes, it's the mileage that bumps the price

What rate xs mileage came with your G2L deal?

Tried an m140i (currently have an R) and it was a let down. expected more engine noise and didnt expect that amount of body roll.

Quick question for anyone who works in the industry.

The new 5 series was officially unveiled on the BMW UK website yesterday with first cars arriving Jan/Feb next year apparently. Any idea how long before the lease deals are likely to be released and orders can be placed? I've currently got an XF on order as my next company car but looks like it's going to need canceling due issues around options etc. Current list only has the F10 5 series on it so hoping to delay long enough for the new one if possible.

Thanks in advance.
The photo is wrong and for illustration purposes only but it says MY2017 if indeed that's what the new 5 is.

Hi, what was the campaign deal? Was it as an extention to your current lease through vwfs? Or a new deal for a new vehicle through vwfs or dealer?
Yes was indeed. I contacted the dealer who supplied wife's current one and I am still awaiting a quote. I contacted David who posted earlier in this thread and it was an absolute pleasure to chat and deal with him.

Like Angus, DSG, but standard 5 door with 10k per year.
