The only things I deem essential that are missing from the standard spec are rear parking sensors, privacy glass and metallic paint. It cost me £5.50 per month extra (£143) for metallic paint and £5 per month extra (£130) for privacy glass which I thought were reasonable.
Everyone raves about the virtual cockpit but for £1400 it is a steep addition to a lease, the standard sat nav is fine.
Isn't virtual cockpit the whole instrument dial showing nav? I have standard new s- line Q7 and didn't spec it. I still get nav in the instrument cluster albeit small and in the middle.Everyone raves about the virtual cockpit but for £1400 it is a steep addition to a lease, the standard sat nav is fine.
Seems fine to me, I must say after coming from a M5 the tech in the Audi is fab.
I've just agreed to lease an M140i (after my missing out on a Golf R). I have agreed to 3+23 @£318 a month. Hopefully that's a reasonable deal.
Just got to wait for an actual delivery date now - having never leased a car before and getting burnt on the Golf I really hope this one doesn't go the same way.
As an aside I've watched a few videos on Youtube of people testing the M140i and I'm starting to worry that I'm going to put it sideways into a ditch. Anyone got a rear wheel drive car with a big engine, am I being daft?

RWD - you'll be fine. Just drive it normally.

Be aware that you will find it quite east to break traction in damp/wet conditions.
Remember Clarkson on TG on the M135i...

I got it through Vehicle Savers. I don't think I can send a link as they don't have up to date deals on their website yet.
Cheers. Found it:https://www.vehiclesavers.com/car-leasing/bmw/1-se...

I've had an M135i for the last few years. It can 'twitch' a little and not always when you're expecting it to in the wet, but you'd have to be pretty ham fisted to end up in a ditch if you leave the traction control on, or at least leave it 'eventually on' (Sport+).Not the easiest car to learn to slide around in if that's what you're into though.

That's the one yeah - fully digital, customisable instrument cluster. It's a great feature but the problem is on a lot of models Audi force you to add the Technology Pack as well and then the price shoots up to a level that most people would deem unacceptable on a lease car.Seems fine to me, I must say after coming from a M5 the tech in the Audi is fab.

It needs a LSD for proper sideways action

Out of interest has anybody given a car back early to VW? If so what are the charges?
What are you thinking of sending back? I would consider taking it over depending on the terms. Feel free to PM me with details.T=Planning on leasing my daughter a car when she turns 17 for her to pass her test in and drive for 2-3 years whilst she does her A-levels and goes off to Uni (hopefully). Looking for an auto as IMHO manual gearboxes will be consigned to the history books over the next 5 years and learning in an auto is both easier and safer.
Found this whilst trawling CH&L
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...
Smart ForFour 1.0 Prime Premium Plus auto.
Comes with all the kit they do and I've just had a quote for < £500 a year fully comp to insure it in her name, with a provisional license, with me as a named driver.
£1000, and 35 x £120 inc VAT, 8K miles pa. So basically £5k over 3 years and 24k miles.
