happens frequently-the nicer car is cheaper. Or some sill low price. The only thing you may miss is getting one if you discount it out of hand.

Morning all, I’m a first time leaser looking at a mid-sized estate with a bit of poke and practicality and it looks like the Octavia Scout 184 DSG ticks most of the boxes. Having followed these threads for a while my first port of call was Simpsons Skoda, who confirmed they have stock availability with metallic paint and nav, and a few other trinkets, and after a bit of Google searching last night I came across Target Car Leasing who also have similar spec Scouts in stock, although I’m just waiting for them to get back to me with full specifications to check I’m comparing apples with apples, but anyhoo here are the basic deals.

Target
3 + 23 (£680.85 + £226.95)
10K miles non-maintained
Total: £5,900.70 or £245.87/m
Excess mileage: ?

Simpsons
Deposit: £2,490
Monthly: £169.00 x 23
10K miles non-maintained
Total: £6,377.00 or £265.71/m
Excess mileage: 8.4ppm

They seem reasonable to me. Simpsons Skoda has been mentioned on here loads of times, and they were great on the phone yesterday so I would have no problems ordering their car today if I had to, but I was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with Target Car Leasing? They are not only cheaper but they also offer free delivery and collection, which Simpsons don’t, so that would save me a couple of trips to Preston (I’m up near Aberdeen so not exactly close).

There was some slightly cheaper deals out there but they were either lower spec cars or factory order with 8-12 week deliveries. Going to need a car in 3-4 weeks, with a budget of £6500 or less over a 2 year term, so hoping to have something ordered before the end of this month.

10k miles should be sufficient but I am factoring in a 2k mile excess just to be on the safe side. At 8.4ppm the Simpsons deal would cost me an additional £168.00. I don’t know the Target excess yet.

Any thoughts or advice welcome. Ta.

Check whether Target charge an admin fee - that may add to the cost.

And try calling your local Skoda dealer, ask to speak to the fleet manager and then ask if he/she can match beat or match the deal.

Slightly cheaper over the term with fleetsauce and a lower (6 month) initial payment
I was getting excited about this until I saw the excess mileage rate is 13p + VAT.

T=Planning on leasing my daughter a car when she turns 17 for her to pass her test in and drive for 2-3 years whilst she does her A-levels and goes off to Uni (hopefully). Looking for an auto as IMHO manual gearboxes will be consigned to the history books over the next 5 years and learning in an auto is both easier and safer.

Found this whilst trawling CH&L

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

Smart ForFour 1.0 Prime Premium Plus auto.

Comes with all the kit they do and I've just had a quote for < £500 a year fully comp to insure it in her name, with a provisional license, with me as a named driver.

£1000, and 35 x £120 inc VAT, 8K miles pa. So basically £5k over 3 years and 24k miles.
My sister learned to drive recently and though I agree autos are certainly the future it pays to take your manual test as if you don't, you absolutely cannot drive a manual at any time which could be limiting.

Spoke to a driving instructor recently about this when researching an article. She said that the gearshift bit is actually the first bit you pick up and do automatically, everything else is far trickier. Ok hillstarts are still a big thing but certainly worthwhile learning.

Anyway that's her (not your) choice, onto the car.

I got my sister a Smart ForTwo lease when they were £99 down and £99/m, specifically went for the ForTwo because she can't have three screaming teenage friends in the car distracting her, only one.

We all know how 17yr old girls are, and she was actually grateful as she wasn't used as a taxi by her mates back from the pub etc. Worth considering.
Just to expand on my previous post, this is a cracking deal on a ForTwo:

1+23, 10k miles, £109/m

My Tiguan build week was confirmed today.
14th November. Am I right in thinking 3-4weeks after for delivery?
Cutting it close for Christmas.

New excess mileage rates from VWFS (15.6ppm inc VAT for a 3L now).

CVL will likely have the same rate as Fleetsauce.

Thanks. Got a quote through from Target and there’s no fee on this deal. Also spoke to my local Skoda dealer so they are seeing if they can price match.

You managed to get a quote from Simpsons? Impressive, after a positive initial response they must of decided they didn't want my business and have failed to reply to any of my messages.

Yeah, they followed up my call with an email confirming the discussed figures but that's the only communication I've had so far.

Yeah did notice that - worth noting that it's a 37 month PCP deal though with 6k pa:

Still cheap and with the 'bonus' of extra seats!

Hi all...

Been in company cars the last 9 years... due to probable change in circumstances, leases looking like a better way for me. Have had a trawl through here to get some ideas, wondered if anyone could give any thoughts on this deal please:

Audi S3 Sportback 2.0 TFSI quattro 310PS Manual2 Year Contract Hire
10,000 Miles per annum
Payment options
500 + 9 + 23 - £239.99 + VAT
500 + 6 + 23 - £267.82 + VAT
500 + 3 + 23 - £299.37 + VAT

Looks a decent deal? Anyone aware of anything better on an S3? The Golf deal wouldve been sweet but missed the boat...

Thanks
