£500 admin fee seems high
Quite possibly an additional £250+VAT fee on top of that too.

Check that they can get you the car before you go any further with credit checks etc as I'm not sure if the 2017 facelift S5 Sportback is available to order yet. I enquired about 2 months ago with centralukvehicleleasing and despite being told "yes we can get one" it turned out the factory weren't taking orders due to the facelift but they had plenty of other different cars they could offer me. Wasn't overly impressed.

I've just spoken with my local Audi dealer and the S5 is available to order. He seems to think it's only become available in the last day or so...hence the deal from CVL I guess...

Do main dealers typically do a trade in on a PCH deal?

The S5 deal does look good, but not sure I can justify the extra £3700 over the term vs the Golf R I have on order, also for march delvery.

Need to think about it tonight.

Not for a good while now at least not for personal customers, some not bad business deals on the usual sites.

My Tiguan build week was confirmed today.
14th November. Am I right in thinking 3-4weeks after for delivery?
Cutting it close for Christmas.
maybe i was lucky, build week 3/10. picked it up 21/10
Still waiting for mine to be confirmed, provisional of the 27/11 frown
I've been told by the dealer possibly end of Nov delivery, so 2 weeks from build!

Hi guys, looking for some advice here.

I'm looking to lease a 5 series on a 2 year contract 10k miles pa with select contracts (as they seem to be the only one taking orders on the 2017 model)

What I wasn't really sure about was whether to take up the maintenance package..which comes up to just over £1k over the term.

As far as I know the service is condition based so am I right in saying I'm likely to trigger no more than 1 service? If so what sort of prices am I looking for a first service? Would that just be the oil and filter around 200 to 300 quid?

Also for those of you who do have the 5 series, how long miles did a set of tyres last you? How many miles expected between service intervals?

Alternatively I'm thinking if i am going to trigger a service and a set of new tyres then perhaps i should go with a 3 year contract instead of 2 due to better amortised monthly payment and I don't mind keeping it up to 3 years. Or would that not be recommended as I may trigger other work on the car? (Brake fluid, pads and discs? Or are these are expected to last more than 30k miles)

Your advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I was told the same by a couple of dealers today.

I've now ordered one through V4B as the only Audi dealer who could get close on price is 250 miles away.

Jordan at V4B has been very helpful and quick to respond, if anyone is thinking of trying them.

Still not sure if I should have gone for the 2-door instead though...

My research is purely 3 series, if you spend a little time you can probably find some 5 fora/forums

However, the F30 is assumed to need its first service at somewhere between 12-20k miles depending on how its driven
I am light on tyres and brakes so dont have that particular stress on a 16k lease which is what Im waiting to be delivered

BMW do have other time specific items like brake fluid and other bits and pieces, but DYOR

The 1st service on an F30 seems to be about £270
I am shameless enough to take my own oil to the dealer to reduce that a bit if it triggers smile

Cheers

Which engine are you looking at? That will affect the service costs.

I can add some real world experience to your research.

I'm 3 years into an F30 330d lease and it's just clicked over 30k miles.

First service was exactly £270 - good guess! - and was at 18k IIRC. It's just been in for a brake fluid change as that's a 3-year time based job. The iDrive is showing 6k miles until the next service but I should be rid of it by then.

It's still on its first set of tyres and I don't think I'm overly light-footed, but note that I use winter tyres for a few months a year so the original tyres have probably done 18-20k miles in reality.

When it went in for the brake fluid, MOT and end of warranty check over, they noted that there was plenty of life left in the brakes too.

Maybe I am captain slow...

Unfortunately I can't find any deals on a 1.5 EcoBoost Focus (quotes coming in at £6442.80 for a ST-Line) so I'm looking for a 2 year personal lease deal on a nippy (preferrably petrol, manual & not base spec) medium sized 5dr hatchback (or larger) for 15k miles per year and wondering if anyone has found any other cheap deals to consider comparable to the following?

Vauxhall Astra 1.4t 150 Elite Nav 5dr
https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...
15k miles per year
3+23 @ £191.65 + £95.00 admin fee
£5077.90 or £211.58 monthly average

Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSI 150 SE Sport 5dr
http://www.ultimatevehicleleasing.co.uk/show/vehic...
15k miles per year
3+23 @ £197.83 + £238.80 admin fee
£5382.38 or £224.27 monthly average

The Civic diesel deal posted recently is decent and would be nearer the Astra price with VAT, but appears to be business only and won't be as nippy as the above. There doesn't appear to be any cheap deals on other VAG cars like the A4 or Golf (unless base spec and/or lesser powered diesels) currently either...

Yeah I tried a couple of local ish Audi dealers too but they couldn't get near the price. One was around £90 a month away too...

What kinda price were they offering you? (The dealer that was 250 miles away)

I've just sent my order form through to Scott at CVL so fingers crossed as I was originally looking at an S3 s-tronic...

Hi, I have exactly the same car on a 2 year lease. If I kept it for the I would most likely have another large service of £400 plus tyres at say £200-250 a corner. Stick to two years. If you do three, take a maintainance package with your broker.

I'm due the first service now, haggling at a main dealer has got the price to £290. A bmw indy quoted £250.
