Check spec of the above carS. Astra doesn't have parking sensors as standard if it's important to you. My friend had test drive in both cars and compared the spec. She chose Astra as Octavia was a little too big for her but I think it has better standard spec. She's dealing with Jet Finance on her Astra deal. They already have cars ordered without any options except metallic paint which is included in price. If you want any options you have to ask for new factory order.

I would go for Octavia, but that's personal choice.

I was told the same by a couple of dealers today.

I've now ordered one through V4B as the only Audi dealer who could get close on price is 250 miles away.

Jordan at V4B has been very helpful and quick to respond, if anyone is thinking of trying them.

Still not sure if I should have gone for the 2-door instead though...
Fantastic! Great car and I'm sure you'll love it. I couldn't wait for the facelift and pulled the trigger on a Touareg a few weeks go which I got from stock so slightly jealous! What sort of delivery dates are they quoting and are you getting Virtual Cockpit?

They've quoted around mid-February. I'm not too precious about having the new reg' but if it's only a week or 2 away I'll wait until March 1st.

I've ordered Navarra blue with red interior and just the flat-bottomed wheel as the only other option.

I did consider the virtual cockpit, and it's a relatively cheap option too but, as with most leases, the options add to the overall cost at pretty much the full price. I think I'm paying £700 over 2 years for the paint and steering wheel which are £645 + £100 at full cost.

Is this the Sportback or the coupe? I've ordered a Coupe with V4B but starting to think a Sportback might suit me better.

A blue car with red interior is something I will never understand. It's also the sort of car that I would see on the used market and think why on earth would anyone ever spec that!

Sportback. I fancied the Coupe but remembered how much only having a 'normal' boot has annoyed me on the 3 series.

Yes - I'd like to know too because if that's correct, and it's not ridiculously low miles, I'm cancelling my current order.

And me! If I could get an S5 Sportback for around £300 that would be amazing

Out of interest, for those of you who have recently ordered cars, have you gone for solid paint or stumped up for metallic?

As much as I like metallic paints, for white or black cars I'm not sure it makes much difference...especially as you're paying for probably £200 a year for the pleasure.

If it's not it's a ridiculously low price. Even if it's actually plus VAT it's still way, way below what I've found after trawling through the websites and calling up dealers.

that was on 8,000

This was through Fleet Sauce however deal is finished as I spoke to the bloke today.

That deal was £383.99 inc vat on 6+23 yesterday. The exact figures were £2303.94 then 23 x £383.99 with £216 booking fee, all including VAT.

It's the deal I got, although I actually went through V4B for it - Fleet Sauce and V4B are pretty much one and the same business, by the way.

I wouldn't have paid for metallic on black or white but I quite liked the blue so went for that.

Also spec'd red leather, much to the dismay of the poster a little earlier in the thread.

This is what mine should be like (albeit I've ordered the Sportback.)

I know I saw the same pricing on the site, however when I called and the bloke sent me the quotes I double checked with him that they were correct and he happily said yes..

so as far as I'm concerned its £332 which I am paying.
