Firstly, you are completely wrong as he was talking about PCH not PCP... clearly you have no idea what you are talking about. PCH is personal contract hire... a personal lease.
Ouch! Yes thanks for being helpful. Already been over that little mistake.Maybe you should try decaff?

Ha ha, my mistake! Yes know what PCH is, blurry eyes made the "H" looked like a "P"!
And there is a separate PCP thread for those interested in that alternative method. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...Edited by mikeN54 on Thursday 21st July 11:40

I was looking at the mazda 3 and smart fourfour, for some reasons on the smart they wanted 2200 deposit and 220 a month and the mazda was similar, I can't wait 2 months for delivery either . Done some figures on my used £12000 skoda superb that I got last year on personal finance and the infinity is is slightly cheaper
It sounds like you could do with a Golf.mikemike08 said:

It is only the "business" but you do get to drive it 2000 miles more per year, and have an extra £2000
Not posting this to piss in your chips, but it may be that there is a cooling off period where you could look around a bit more?

Tempted by the S3 deal on select leasing, however my current car don't go back till March.
However the bloke on their chat said they may be able to deliver the car in March... so just waiting back for him.
is it worth pulling the trigger or waiting out for Q4 deals?
I've got the exact same dilemma, if you don't mind me asking, what deal they offer you? The other option I was looking at was the M140i. Some decent PCP deals around but i'll prefer a lease. However the bloke on their chat said they may be able to deliver the car in March... so just waiting back for him.

Secondly, you are a pedant. Who really cares enough to comment if someone posts a PCP deal? It might turn out to be better than an equivalent lease deal... doesn't happen often but can when very specific PCP dealer support is available.
Firstly, that mistake was picked up 1.5 hrs before you posted so not sure why you felt the need to make the point also? Gets your post count up I guess.Secondly, you are a pedant. Secondly, this thread is about leases. If everyone posted up PCP deals this thread would be even more of a mess than it is already.

The bloke has just come back to me and said they are unable to hold the car until March 9 + 23 x £272.39 10K
Yes I also have been looking at the M140i, but prefer leasing for 24 months.
Test drove a M240i the other day also which is a cracking car!!
Guess I will just wait a little and see what comes up

I know it's not the thread for this but how can people tell that this is a bad deal without knowing the final payment? Terrible deal if handing straight back but surely could still be a great deal if there is a really low final payment?
The final payment will be a conservative estimate of the used value at the end, calculated at the start of the deal taking CURRENT forecasts into account. So barring any financial disasters it will more or less be the same as the trade in value. Unless you have a more rare or niche model perhaps which could be more volatile in either direction! Never bank on a GMFV!

Well we might have a feeling that it's a bad PCP deal because... we know there are some good lease deals for the Q30... the pernickety options which go against the grain of deal hunting whether buying or renting... and above all it's a PCP which puts you in the hands of a salesman... and it was signed up for in a shopping centre... (!)
Does it pass the Golf test? Not really.
Here's the art of the possible:

Sorry.

No dealer will hold a car for 7 months! Nobody knows what deals will be around then, even if the dealer could fix the figures for that long they would pay stocking charges from the manufacturer and at some point between 90-180 days the car will go fully paid (list price no discount).Fast Bug said:

The S3 was an exception as the bloke said initially the delivery dates were January however recently changed to October so thought it would be worth the ask to see if they can do it for march but was a dead end. Steve_F said:
I thought PCP deals could be structured differently though to end up with lower final payments, especially if planning to keep it after, might be HP that I'm thinking of. I'll stop before I get banned from the lease thread
The GFV on a PCP deal is fixed by the finance company. There's no negotiation on it, the only way to change it is to alter the mileage capDoes anyone have recent experience dealing with Gateway2Lease?
I signed an order form on a stock Mini JCW as mentioned earlier on in this thread, but I am now struggling to get a formal confirmation that the vehicle has been secured. G2L keeps on telling me that it will happen before the end of the day, but then again nothing happens.
With other brokers I was used to have a confirmation back within hours..?

I've got a XC60 on order with G2L and I've had no troubles at all. Pretty much constant communication and timely responses. Not sure who you are dealing with but Sophie was very quick and efficient. It might be because there is talk that the JCW Mini's haven't actually turned out to be "real" according to other posters.
