Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol 3)
Discussion
Off topic resurrection from a few weeks back after reading http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/hyundai/97848/hyundai...
Until then it seems to be a case of:
A) See if the broker offering the lease can arrange a test drive (or the specific dealer e.g Simpsons).
OR
B) Lie / bluff if you don't mind doing that.
OR
C) Be honest - but when arranging the test drive rather than later on (to save everyone's time) and see what they say.
OR
D) Take a chance without a test drive.

I'm fleet sales so 99% of what I do is with companies. I get demos in for company car users all the time, but there is a cost to this that we (the dealership) have to pay. If it's one of our own demo fleet then we have the cost of the demo vehicle itself, fuel and a drivers time to drop off and collect. If we use the manufacturers demo fleet, then they charge us a flat fee.
You swallow the costs if you've a customer that takes 20+ cars a year. You wouldn't do it for Joe Bloggs that wants 1 personal lease every 2 or 3 years though
Interesting; maybe if personal leasing continues to grow in popularity this is just something that will change over time as manufacturers realise personal lease customers may often still like to test drive before committing upwards of £6k on their product. Perhaps the costs will then get absorbed by higher average pricing for lease deals. You swallow the costs if you've a customer that takes 20+ cars a year. How does this benefit anyone but the manufacturer? Are people really stupid enough to a) pay full list price for a car and b) without even having sat in it?MaxSo said:

With regards to test drives I just go along to the dealer, tell them I'm interested in model X get a test drive. I then say thank you and walk away. The sales guy is already paid to be there, the car is sat doing nothing so in reality what is it costing them?

Incidentally our Monte Carlo on cheap lease arrived 3 weeks ago ordered via CVL. The supplying dealer was Ridgeway if that helps at all.
Have to say, I've been massively impressed with it. So much car for the money and all family and friends who initially scoffed when I said we were picking up a Skoda as a family barge have been very inpressed by the quality and comfort.
It does feel a bit daft having a flat bottomed steering wheel in a Yeti though.....
I've ordered a Yeti Monte Carlo, similar deal to yours, with G2L. Car ordered in mid September. I was given a Delivery Date of Late Dec. A few weeks ago I was told that the build date was Week 10, 2017! Not too happy about this but the deal is good so i'm hanging in there and incidentally I've just learnt that the build date has come forward to week 5. I'm still not going to receive the car in late december but we will see...Have to say, I've been massively impressed with it. ikonic... Good to hear you are happy with it. When did you order yours? Was it in stock? I've also chosen the grey. No options, kept it cheap as possible.
We had some shenanigans where ours was meant to be a factory order, but about 6 weeks later the supplying dealer got in touch saying production had stopped and he instead had a stock car coming in which was slightly different spec to what we ordered..... which we accepted.
A bit surprised that you say you have a 2017 build date for a Monte Carlo to be honest, as would suggest one of my dealer or your dealer is telling porkies!

OMG I find it difficult to believe you can be so naive! Did you really just post that? The car is already there as is the salesman. It's his job to show you the car. FWIW I've never lied to get a test drive.
Fact is, a dealership is the only contact point Joe Public has with these cars, so if they want to see/test drive a car that's the only way it'll happen. Dealerships just have to suck it up or get the manufacture to do something about it. Until then it's just how life is.

Pension, childcare, cycle-to-work and ultra low-emission car schemes are protected. They WON'T have perks axed and will CONTINUE to offer employees big tax and NI savings.
moneysavingexperthttp://www.moneysavingexpert.com/...I read that as fine for this particular car as is zero emissions. What about my colleagues who have ICE cars though.
I may still ask the lease co for clarification.
Hi all,
Been lurking a little while trying to get a sense of this lease malarky. My better half's Mini gave up the ghost last week and we're expecting baby #2 around Christmas so am after something a little more sensible (and new - and hopefully reliable). I've come across the following deal and wondered if it looked decent enough.
If you have any other thoughts - I'd be more than happy to hear. We're after something slightly raised (to aid getting the little ones in and out) and sportier than the MPV's. I'm half tempted to wait for the new 3008 SUV as it looks immense, but suspect it will be pretty expensive at first.
Deal for Qashqai:
Nissan Qashqai Diesel Hatchback 1.5 dCi N-Connecta 5dr
6+35 (1221.24 initial)
10k p/a (6p excess) - will end up doing around 14.5k p/a

Morning All
First post so please be gentle - I'm completely new to leasing having not owned a car for about 6 years now thanks to my previous job providing a company car.
I've found a deal below, but I'm unsure if this is a good 'un. What do you folks think?
E220d AMG Line (Auto)
24 months
£299.99 p/m
£2699.89 initial rental
10k miles p/a

Sorry, but that sounds like a dreadful deal. Evened out it's likely to cost you about £260 a month to drive a slow, diesel Nissan?
Thanks for the reply. It's not really meant to be a blast to drive, granted. What could I get for the same sort of price? It does seem to be the best deal that I can find at the moment (granted it seems a terrible time to be getting a new lease) - went to a local Nissan dealership and they were £40 pm dearer and couldn't get close to the above deal. Maybe not the most exciting car available being bottom of the range and all, but had seen this a couple of days ago and then noticed it on HUKD this morning. Looks a good deal and might suit someone:
1.0 TFSI Audi A3 SE Sportback
Iniital £2400 inc VAT
23 x £87.05 inc VAT
Fees - 239.99
5k Miles
Total - £4642.14
Broker: National Vehicle Solutions
8K - £95.86 p/m
10k- £101.69 p/m
Not a fan of big deposits, and not sure if restructuring is an option. And no idea if there's any chance of Audi dealerships matching to save the fees.
Unfortunately I think this comes too early to replace my wife's Focus, as it's on a PCP finishing July 2017, and doubt any dealer/broker will hold on that long.
