I have one on order for mid December delivery, but the 140 petrol, for the same £159 per month but over 24 months.
Mine was delivered 2 weeks ago. 140 5 door 3+23 £136.10/month. Prices look like they have gone up now. Mine came without mats but bought for £18 from carmats4u.com. Seems a good little motor.

Deals on the 150bhp 1.4 A4 are back by the look of it, on the Avant this time. 23% of list over the two years, not too shabby if you need a mid-sized estate. Decent enough spec too, Nav as standard, upgraded audio over the SE.

Personally, I'd go for the Yeti 1.4 L&K. Cheaper per year (£2500/year), shorter term (so you can get a new one sooner) and better spec.
Must have missed that deal - sounds promising. Where was that from?
Try Horton Skoda for the Yeti. I like Yetis - quite anti-cool and anti bling (a bit less so in L&K trim perhaps).

But be mindful of the 1.4 TSI probably averaging 35-40mpg compared to whatever the Nissan would do.

Thanks for the replies. I'm learning all the time on this leasing lark.

So it seems like the golden rule is to pay as small a % of the list price as possible?
Yes, am hoping my putting up reminders at intervals posters will do the maths first time for everyone and save 50/100/1000 people repeating the maths over time!

I think the Yeti is a fantastic car but there's no denying the boxy looks are going to be polarising. Personally I find the Qashqai too ubiquitous, though they always review well and are very frugal on fuel.

Have you looked at Tiguan deals?

There are a LOT of NHS staff using this scheme. Are we all going to get stung with these proposed changes then?

To the people discussing the new BMW 5 series a few pages back...

When comparing pricing against the old model, it's worth bearing in mind the new model has some standard equipment that were options on the old (SE, 4 cylinder) model: auto gearbox, LED lights and Pro Media.

Not very good at all, he says, trying to put the forum off the scent whilst rushing to the phone hehe

£280 including VAT on a 1+23 seems like a pretty good deal to me.

It's ok but the deals are not as good as they were, I missed the first deals but got one in May on a 6 + 23 for 169 inc VAT from an Audi dealer.

Mid you're leasing and you don't have gap then, quite frankly you are an idiot and opening yourself up to huge financial pain if the worst happens - remember that if it all comes to the worst you don't just owe for the market value of the car, but the early termination fees etc that go with it. These can easily be into five figures.

Ask me how I know - I've totalled my lease car and am just going through all of the insurance dealings just five months into a three year deal. If I didn't have gap cover I'd probably kill myself. I'm all covered but the ramifications of not having it are horrendous. I did everything by the book and made sure the insurance knew it was a personal lease so it's all gone smoothly.

Mine was something like 120 for 15k of cover (works over the whole lease).

This is also a damned good reason to go for the minimum possible up front payment - I've lost 3 months upfront - not 6 or 9. That'd hurt.

Just got a quote for extending my Golf R lease. Was paying circa £240 per month for a 5k a year 24 month deal. Have gone massively over that with the mileage currently at over 30k so was expecting a £1400+ excess mileage bill when handing it back. Haven't found anything to replace it with yet so got a quote to extend for an additional 6 months while I keep looking. Quote came back at £290 pm with a total mileage of 40k over the 30 months.

That seems like a very good deal does it not?

Considering I was going to have to pay £1400 anyway and I can drive it for another 6 months for £1740.

So it's going to cost me £340 to lease it for another 6 months (£56 per month).

Am I missing something?

That is a good deal, are you with VWFS as many have reported them as being very accommodating when adjusting mileage/term when part way in to a lease or approaching the end?

Yep VWFS. I was expecting the "amortised" price per month to go up not down as it was already bloody cheap.

I'm not complaining, just don't see why they'd do that. Surely the car will devalue more than £340 in 6 months and 10k miles.
