It is an okay price, at ~25% of RRP, but it is for only 5k mpa, the excess mileage seems to be around 10-12p per mile, it is for the slower manual model, and it (ideally) needs a few basic add-ons that will bump up the price further (adaptive cruise, parking sensors, etc.).

So I am very new to personal leasing, but a being doing business leasing for ages. With the crazy BIK values I am considering jumping out of the company car scheme and going personal. I am currently looking for a good deal on a A4 Avant s-line stronic, 10k pa, 36 mths.

The business deal I have on the table at the moment is for :

Audi A4 Diesel Avant 2.0 TDI Ultra 190 S Line 5Dr S Tronic - £321
Extended black styling pack - A4 Avant - £28
Pearl - Daytona grey - £15
TOTAL £364

3 x 35 - £13,832 (all ex VAT)

They will give me the same deal on personal, but with VAT taking it to £436 seems absolutely nuts.

Looking for some advice, pointers and hopefully some good deals.

Hmm that's pretty pricey, especially ex VAT.

Personal deal here for 10k miles, 3+35 - £349 inclusive of VAT. Fee is £300. total works out at £13599.62 over the three years, all VAT included. Not sure how much the options would be though.

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

on a 3+23 for only £11 a month more - total £9682.20

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

edit to add:

If you don't mind the allroad, a 3.0tdi can be had for less

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

same profile as above £334 a month

Don't get hung up on a model or manufacturer if you want a cheap deal.

Be patient.

Be ready to sign up to a deal the minute you see it.

Follow this thread.

Exactly

I had a shortlist of several different cars and went for the best deal when the time came to "pull the trigger"
If I Cameronned the Pig today the best deal would be on something different

And the A4 deal a few posts above is awful BTW
A BMW 335d Touring was 311 a month not too long ago on 6*23
A poverty A4 petrol was half that

Cheers

If you want it cheap buy a base spec car or sometimes go for the next model up that has the toys fitted as standard.

If you are set on an A4 the Allroad there are good deals from my local dealer. I have just taken delivery of mine from them after they found me a car last month. It's the Sports spec so an even better deal

Speak to Michael Brook at the dealership as he is one of the leasing guys. I have no connection and just wanted to give my business to the local economy

Or the same cost on a 3+23. Works out at £384pcm which is 27% (if you use the P11D price on the site) or 28.5% (if you take the RRP from Audi's site and subtract the £800 deposit contribution they offer).

Not bad, but I think we've seen better on the S3?

EDIT: ignore the 28.5% bit, I was forgetting the fact it was a special edition.

I requested a quote on an M140i they had on their site a week ago. Just had a response back that the price has gone up £40 a month so I wouldn't hold your breathe on the S3 deal being real until you have something in writing.

Thanks, I am not specifically set on a specific brand or model, but want something to hold the dog (therefore estate or jeep) and looking to have higher spec model from BMW, Audit Jag etc. Also -I as under the imression that you needed to order in advance, so is it better to wait until nearer the time to hit the button? How long before I need the car should I order?

One other thing. I am using https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/ as my main source of deals, but with so many vendors on the site is there a recommended supplier list... or just call and use a bit of judgement.

From my own point of view I don't like doing the order and wait for x months thing - the deal may fall through, for example.

My own way - and that of some friends - is to go for an in-stock vehicle; there comes a point when these need to be shifted and this is where the real bargains are to be had. Sure, you might not get the exact spec or the exact colour (I simply tell them what I DON'T want (black or white) and see what comes up).

Just had a quote from them on this - the facelift has brought some terrible standard alloys but apart from that a half decent deal given its the black edition.

Black Edition is coming out a lot cheaper than standard edition.

Surely a TT and an S3 don't have the same 0-100mph!? TTS maybe...

Apparently (and surprisingly) there's 0.1 second in the 0-100kph time (5.2 for the S3 and 5.3 for the TT).

Edit: That's the 2.0T Quattro S-tronic TT, the FWD will take longer and the manual longer still.
