I fancied an S3 but the prices were too close to the S5 to not justify the S5 (especially given the extra kit you get on the S5). The saloon seems dear vs the sportback on lease too doesnt it?
Yeah right now the S3 saloon prices are more than the S5. If they go back to anywhere near they were before (290+VAT), I'll be on them.4ner said:

Ah I didnt know they were more! When I was looking a few months ago I saw the Sportback was a lot cheaper and didnt consider the saloon (although it would be my preference really).Anyone else order a new Tiguan R line from factory? howlong did you wait to get a confirmed date and how long for delivery ? I am told there is problems with some parts they dont have and its delaying everything...estimated date is now starting mid march and that would take 6 weeks....last week it was mid april with delivery mid may

I had the 1.4 ACT engine in my Seat Leon and couldn't fault it, however I always used premium unleaded mostly Tesco Momentum as it seems to stop the flat spots that a lot of the new turbo engines seem to have. Other 2 Fiesta's in the family have always run on Tesco Momentum and run really well.Richmc said:
Been told this morning by someone at Select cars that Audi aren't taking any more orders on the S5 until the end of the year due to an engine shortage
End of the year? That's a major setback if that is the case in terms of numbers for them?
So is that going to hold up existing orders? And I presume that also means no S4s either

Just confirmed an order on a 6+23 deal for a VW Tiguan 2.0TDi SE Nav, at £177.52 + VAT. With no fees. went for 5,000 miles a year as it's cheaper to do this and then up the mileage after the first year than paying for mileage upfront. Very please with the deal.
congrats! This is the exact car I am looking to order on a personal lease. I am new to the leasing game - could you explain the mileage thing? I do circa 12k pa so was thinking of leasing at 10k pa and paying the excess mileage. Is there a more cost effective way to do this?

I spoke to someone there this morning who said that they were trying to get more allocation... To be honest I've been totally put off the S5 deals due to the extra £750 not included in the current pricing that will come with the VED changes.KPB1973 said:
I'm not 100% sure you can use Google Maps via Android Auto whilst on the move. I'd need to check later (if she ever lets me near her new car).
You can - been using it all week in my new (leased) E200 Coupe and it's great. TBH, Android Auto is pretty good all round - at least in the Merc implementation. Google Play Music is slow to load library/playlists but apart from that all good. I wouldn't go back to a car without it now.Setest said:

I make it an extra £440 in VED on a 24 month lease, are they bumping up the cost out of proportion with the increases?Craig said:
Jumped on the Volvo XC60 T5 SE Nav auto deal (incl metallic) via Ray Chapman Volvo
Went for 9000 miles p.a. with winter pack added which worked out at £245 per month on 6+23 (c.£7100 over term)
Excess mileage 18ppm but hoping not to go over
Seems kike a great deal. Have you driven one? I want to do so before ordering but the earliest I can get into our local volvo dealer is Thursday. Still, might be snowing by then which would be entertaining!Went for 9000 miles p.a. with winter pack added which worked out at £245 per month on 6+23 (c.£7100 over term)

Good news. Although I did mean in the Ateca specifically, as I thought i'd read something on a forum somewhere about the car blocking it to push people into buying the Tech pack/Nav pack. I can't find the reference now, but i'm sure someone with the same system in a Leon would be able to confirm one way or the other.

You're right. Sorry. I think specs were revised slightly since the launch info.

The 18s are fine by the way. I know its subjective but we're both used to Meg Cup suspension arent we?
Yes and I am on rock solid semi-slicks on the Meg ! My fear on a lease car is the wife's propensity for kerb damage...I'm not 100% sure you can use Google Maps via Android Auto whilst on the move. I'd need to check later (if she ever lets me near her new car).

Nobody who orders one now will get one in March unless it's a cancelled order so what's the point in a pre April price?

I'm waiting on a Tiguan SE Nav which I ordered from Gateway2Lease. It was meant to arrive mid December but still no sign of it even thought for about the past month the VW tracker says it's in the UK and on its way to the dealer! On a related note, if there are further delays (bearing in mind we ordered it at the end of September) is there any prospect of being compensated by G2L?
