Having 2nd thoughts about the XC60 now, before I sign has anyone found anything on the Tiguan SEL?

Local dealer can only do £2500 down and £290 per month, 9k miles per year over 24 months

Has anyone beat this?

Hi

I'm a new poster and I hope that this is the right place for this topic.

It relates to leasing and I'm hoping that the collective wisdom can help me with three questions I have about leasing.

Realistically I do about 8k - 12k miles a year but many of the best deals seem to work out cheaper to sign a 5k agreement and pay the extra fees at the end of the lease.

Are there any other potential charges that can be applied to you at the end of the lease in addition to the mileage or does that cover any potential drop in value as a result of the excess mileage?

Secondly I'm just going through the motions of a remortgage and i'd rather not have additional finance on my credit history right now despite desperately needing a new motor. Do any of the lease companies allow you to pay the full amount up front subject to any mileage adjustments at the end of the deal in return for not attaching finance to my credit record?

I quite fancy a Merc C premium plus estate and should the deals start to appear does anyone know what a typical additional mileage fee would be? i've seen the figures around VWFS but I don't know if they only deal with VAG cars.

Thanks in advance and if this is the wrong thread for these questions I apologise.

No extra charges due to mileage are added, just the usual wear and tear inspection which may incur charges.

10-15ppm are quite typical for for MB. From my experience it's cheaper to give accurate mileage estimation at the beginning at pay upfront than pay the excess. For example my C-class cabriolet the excess is 14ppm, but if paying upfront it worked out at 6ppm.

Hi all.

I've been thinking hard about the Audi A4 Saloon 1,4 Saloon deals. Select have it on there website for £223.32 for a 3+23 - which seems pretty decent to me. Anybody seen it better elsewhere? Going to go and have a look at a sport spec up close at the weekend, I fear the audi might be a bit plain without S-line spec. Are there any S-line deals about? Cheers
Have started looking at these myself after seemingly being let down on the A3 deal I was offered.

Would also like the S Line trim, so let me know if you spot anything.
I phoned a couple of companies today and it doesn't make sense to add s-line, becomes too expensive.
Unless anyone else has had any joy finding a deal?

I can't answer as to whether it's possible to pay the entire amount upfront, however you are normally able to make a large initial payment in return for smaller monthlies, e.g. By arranging the finance on a 9 + 23 basis rather than 3 + 23. Not sure how far they would allow you to push it beyond the 9 months initial though.

I remortgaged mid-term during my Golf R lease, so for similar reasons asked VWFS if I could pay the balance off. I was told that there was no way of doing this other than as a settlement (in which case they'd need the car back).

I know that this is the lease deal thread but thought I'd ask anyway.

I have 2 lease cars going back this year. One at 2 years old and one at 4. Am I expected to have had the 2nd service done on the 2 year old or the 4th service and a 2nd MOT done on the 4 year old? I've read conflicting info.

Having read the contracts it just states completed service book in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and a valid mot.

So if I arrange collection of both a fortnight before end of contract would I get away with it? One car is with ALD and the other from Lex.
Not sure that they will collect early?

2 year leases you should be able to just do 1 service right before you send it back - at least with VWFS.
Are you sure, when I leased mine the dealer said that so long as I don't trigger the service by mileage then it won't need servicing to return it at the 2 year point?

Regarding excess mileage, it depends who is funding the deal, my S3 for example is through Hitachi. My contract says I can exceed contracted mileage by 10% over the term and excess mileage will cost x ppm, however above and beyond 10% of contracted mileage it will be x+ ppm. With regards to remortgage situation, if you are in a position that you can afford to pay the whole cost of leasing a car up front then it would appear that you are in a good position financially, therefore is it really going to affect remortgage process? I doubt that you would be allowed to do this, but as already mentioned you could make a larger initial payment which will bring your monthlies down. Another option might be to buy a cheap runaround until remortgage process is finalised before leasing a new car. Happy motoring.

My understanding is (and happy to be corrected) that a PCP puts the whole vehicle asset value on your credit file where as a PCH / lease only puts what you are due to pay back (i.e. the total asset cost is irrelevant).

In a remortgage scenario the £8k to £10k car lease repayment liability is relatively small in the grander scheme of things (although I fully appreciate that you would rather it wasn't there).

Followed the Scirocco chat on here as need to replace my leased Golf GTD in June. Have 'pulled the trigger' lunchtime today on a Scirocco R from a VW main dealer.

Apparently, the campaign from VW is for R's with no extra except metallic paint. We need electric folding mirrors to get in our garage and the dealer has managed to get this added to a car in the build programme. Having to take Indium Grey rather than Rising Blue to allow adding optional folding mirrors. Luckily, the grey was our second choice anyway.

Wanted a full maintenance contract, 10k per annum, 6+23. Agreed deal (incl VAT)
£1691.28 deposit plus £281.88 per month. Works out at £8175 for two years. Not cheap but happy and assurance of working with brilliant local VW dealer.

They appeared the other day, they aren't great at all. 320pm amortized. I'm currently paying 217pm amortized on a superb with a similar list price. I'm sure (hope) they'll be some better offers soon.

The non-7seater SEL is bang on Tiguan money and the Tiguan has a lot better standard spec and looks better.

Poor prices IMO.

For your perusal - something I think may meet the sub 20% RRP from BMW. The run out F10 530d Msport Auto 9+23 8kpa

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

All in £8282 - can't find old F10 saloon pricing any more. Not your 4 cylinder repmobile but straight 6 goodness.

There's a 6+23 profile as well which comes out at a wallet busting £37 more over the term:

Some prices quoted from the seatcupra.net forum for the new Cupra 300 and Cupra ST 300 AWD (Estate);

IMG SEAT is now taking orders for cupra 300.
Headline deal is £285 deposit and £285 per month
8k per anum 6+35 deal. 5 door manual with metalic paint
Call adam or phil on 01925 428730

Cupra ST 300 AWD
£311.80 inc vat with an upfront of £1870.78 (6+35)
Over 2 years at £329.45 (6+23)

Hope these are useful for some to consider! I ordered my Cupra 290 through Phil @ IMG, painless and easy transaction.
Good to see the deals coming through, but that Estate amortises to almost £400/m which is mighty rich for a SEAT.
CVL

I believe there was a website error and it's 1+35 with a small admin fee. Sure they'd quote for 2yrs if required.

Good find. Not that it makes a huge difference but it's more standard to compare the 10k/yr to the RRP.
