Well, CVL have been a nightmare.

I signed up for one of the A4 Allroad models last week. After I sent my application off, all went quiet. Despite multiple follow ups I'm struggling to get a decent reply out of them with regards progress. The latest is that the expected delivery date has moved from March / April to sometime in Q4 (They inform me that they're struggling to get a reply from the 'lady' with the computer!).

It's a joke. So I'm back looking unless they can somehow recover the absolutely shocking customer experience they've created.

Looking for a nice 'premium' brand family motor, ideally 3+23 with a budget of around £400 ish per month.

I'm struggling.
Had a Seat Leon FR184 diesel for 2 years

10k miles, 230 a month on a 1+23 with maintenance

Can't find anything similar. Even if I drop to a 1.6 diesel I dread

Needs to be abkut the size of a golf for our big dog!

Open to anything right now with a low deposit and cruise control

Does it have to be 1+23 again?? This on a 3+36 would get you around the same price if you shop around.

Have you enquired about extending your current lease? Often they'll let you extend for another year and revise payments. Especially if you're under your mileage.

Thanks guys. I'll speak to them about an extension if nothing good offered.
Will look into those mentioned.

Hi guys I'm a personal car lease virgin!

My job location changed last year meant I went from doing a 8k annual mileage to about 30k!
My e93 320d went from 70k to over 100k in 1 year!
I lost about 8k in depreciation hence I decided to look at lease options

Managed to pick up a 520d auto m sport (outgoing model)
30k annual mileage 9+35 at £350 a month including vat!

Decent deal??

Similar experience here. They're about as useful as a chocolate teapot!

£125/month plus same 1 month deposit.
Cheap on the face of it but they are boggo spec 1.2 with only 6k pa and a crippling mileage excess.

The purchase price is actually very low at 7.5k so 125/m looks poor value at 40% of rrp over the term.

That is an excellent deal for the mileage! I am doing a similar distance and normally struggle to find anything in a similar segment for less than £500pm amortised. I assume this doesn't include maintenance? That is probably 3/4 sets of tyres and 5 services in that period so if it does include then that deal is world class.

Now that you have the car, there's little point in asking smile
Enjoy.

I only had a brief experience with CVL when the Tiguan R-Line deals were floating around, and they were more than useless with that.

They (as I'm sure many of them do) advertise fantastic headline deals and assure you the "deals are real" but I've yet to find anyone who has actually got a physical car out of their "headline deals."

They are truly shocking. The guy I dealt with was pretty rude and arrogant and like he was doing me a favour by even talking to me. I have no idea how some.of these cowboys stay in business.

I got my Tiguan from CVL. Stock car.
Ordered 8th November, delivered 24th.
It was well priced, their headline deals at the time were on the SE Nav but the SEL was only a bit more.
They are brokers - maybe they don't have the full visibility into the VW, Audi etc ordering process? Once they'd secured the car I only dealt with the dealership for contracts and delivery.
Everyone I dealt with was polite wink

Reference phantom deals, it's worth using the main dealers where ever possible. Here's a few I've used before:

A list of many others:

Since sending them my application I've rang them three times to ask progress and all I get is 'oh yeah, we need to speak to the dealer about that'. They seem totally uninterested.

They haven't even tried the bait and switch yet. Bit far fetched but I'm wondering if they're gathering financial details and somehow up to no good. Otherwise why are they bothering to post such good deals? Total waste of their time and ours.

Well ordered mine today on a 6+23 15,000 mile contract, they only have black and black leather. Matt from 1st choice vehicle contracts was very helpful and efficient.

2014.38 inc Vat
335.73 inc Vat (23 rentals)
11.21 inc Vat pence per mile
I've just done the same via Total Vehicle Leasing.

9+23 / 15k for £296.

Excellent service thus far. No messing, no pressure.

Unfortunately maintenance worked out nearly £120 a month on top!
This was over £1200 a year and nearly £3500 over the term.

My local dealership is offering a service pack up to 50k miles for £500 if bought within 60 days of car being registered so I may look st purchasing that.

In my experience of you shop around you can usually get a decent price on tyres and with these real wheel drives it's the back tyres that tend to go....my e93 320d got nearly 40 thousand miles from front tyres mainly motorway driving

No issues with CVL either, I go direct through Scott who has arranged my last two cars.

I have recommended him to a friend and by all accounts he bent over backwards (like he has for me in the past) to put together the perfect XC60 deal for him. If I wasn't buying the next car I would probably have gone straight back to Scott. His email list is always interesting, he seems to email the headline deals before they get posted here or on HUKD's etc and he usually puts a line like "limited stock, be quick".

It's not really CVL's fault if your too slow to snap up the "headline" deals smile
