Look the request was for a specific model, a skoda superb 280 sport line.

Select provided their price for said vehicle, which no matter where you look this is an expensive car to lease and Select actually have some competitive prices for this.

If some one wants a specific car surely that is fine? then the OP can find the best lease car deal available for said car through this thread?

Why so much negativity all the time! Some of us may want the cheapest lease deal for a car, some may want the cheapest lease deal for something specific different requirements for different people.
This, I think some people in this thread need to step back for a min, maybe get off the caffeine.

A very specific question was asked, Select answered with their offering. Surely that's a good thing? The deal not meeting our usual 25% margin isn't relevant in this case.

Get off your high horses.

What happens to the majority of these :lease: cars when the lease is up ?

Do most of them end up at B.C.A car auctions ?

Has anybody managed to purchase their lease vehicle at the end of the lease period ?

I used ALA when I got my lease car Nov last year. Another one that got good reviews was Shortfall.

I thought the same, someone asked if there was a lease price and got one.

As far as I'm aware, you're not legally allowed to purchase the car you leased, however a friend/family member could do so then sell it back to you.

Also gapinsurance123.co.uk

Used these for the past 3 cars (2 x lease and 1 x purchase), no problems but never had to claim as yet.

For business leases / company car lease the company can call the provider and ask for a purchase price. Don't be surprised if it is way more than you are willing to pay having done this a few times over the years for cars like Scenic, Golf, 5 series mainly through Lex and Alphabet.

FYI, ALA also do a "Best Price Guarantee", basically they'll beat a camparable price by 20%.

When I got my A4 Avant I got a quote from https://www.autoebid.com/gap-insurance-quote.html and then got ALA to beat it.

2 year, 10k cover. Can't remeber exact numbers, but original quote from ALA was about £120, Autoebid quote was £60 something, ALA beat it and got cover for £51.87.

Slightly cheaper here http://www.kewvehicleleasing.com/personal-lease-ca... (due to a smaller admin fee). I'd probably downgrade to a Sport and save another £30 per month though.

Quick question, I'm just in the process of signing my VWFS papers for a Tiguan. In one of the sections it states that I would be liable to pay the difference if road tax costs increase during the period of the contract.

I thought road tax was paid a year in advance? So does this mean I would only pay the difference in the second year? Also, roughly how much would it be?

It's all a bit confusing!

I agree, the Executive or Sport trim are very nice and can be better value.
