If anyone comes across a large MPV deal let me know. I considered the Peugeot/Citroen van thing but really it is a massive bloody van and I can't live with that full time. Ideally an SMAX, C4GP, Sharan or similar (3 proper rear seats). I'm guessing the idea of an all-in figure at least than £300 pm with half decent auto spec is unlikely on 10k mileage on the basis of the current offers...

Hi

With the new golf order books opening up next month will lease deals be advertised at the same time?
The new Golf R Mk7.5 has just published an official Germany RRP of €40,675 for the 3door manual, €42,675 for the 3door DSG, and €44,800 for the 5door DSG in H1 2017.

If that translates to something like £33-39k retail in the UK this year, then it suggests personal lease prices (PCH) in the next few weeks may start around the £300-350pm mark on a 6+23.

thanks for that!

Will be keeping an eye out for that, considering an R DSG. If there are any last minute deals on current stock before that maybe tempted on a 2 yr.

I think I finally have a firm quote that I am interested in, but still not 100% convinced.

Audi A3 Sportback 2.0tdi S Line (flat paint)
10k miles per annum
£3,000 initial
23 x £154.75 monthly
Total over term - £6559.25 inc VAT
List price - £27,745

So lease payments are 23.6% of list on the road cost.

I know the £3k initial is ridiculously high, but I am looking at the overall cost. I am also waiting to hear if that can be lowered without affecting overall cost too much.

This is for a factory order car, for delivery in June which is when I want it.

Thoughts on this?

Like many a folk on this forum, I got a BMW 125d M Sport almost 2 years ago.
Haven't seen the 'right' deal yet to fist the kumquat, and a little bit worried I may have left it too late.

Anyways, spoke to Arval yesterday who are the provider.
I currently pay ~£240 per month.
If I continue with the lease on the same 10k mileage per annum:
On a monthly basis, price would be ~£260 per month.
If I tie myself in for a further 12 months, price would be ~£220 per month.

I'm considering continuing a month at a time until the right deal pops up.

Hope this helps somebody in a similar situation.

for a light user this looks a nice deal. A very well specced car as standard.

That has to be a misprice, its almost 6-700 per month ever where else
Looks normal to me, when compared to:

I'm even tempted out of my S80 by this. Just got a quote and it's not much more for additional miles. Bit of a bargain and about the only stylish, desirable car out there in this segment.

Yep, it's a decent price for a new car. It's only really the XF that is cheaper - but I'm unfamiliar with the spec of each model.

The Inscription offered has a higher spec than most other cars with an extra £10k on them over base. It is really beautiful inside and the electronics is way over BMW/Merc/Audi too.

I was looking at a used XF for a while but the touchscreen thing was just too slow and from the 70's - the Volvo is from 2030 by comparison.

Ring Scott tomorrow for a price - he's been really helpful and will be getting my order first thing.

Inscription specification - £2k down and £210/month for £10k miles on 18 month contract, plus VAT.

That's £381/month.

Are you not tempted to go for a 24month deal, since the car is so nice? OK, the deal below is 8k but is only £373/month

I don't get it for motorbikes, they're so cheap you can just buy them outright. They're far more susceptible to milage too than a car so they depreciate weird hehe

Obscure car, but may be useful for someone with a big family.

Citroen Space Tourer Diesel Estate 1.6 BlueHDi 5dr with 9 seats (basically a minibus).

For comparison, the deal works out around ~19% of the £25k RRP for 5k mpa over 2 years (NB: actual lease is for 18 months):

Thanks for the cx5/tucson/taureg comments.

To add to my initial post (spec+toys, quickish, £300pm), I'm looking at 12k miles pa based on fag packet calcs.

How do you generally judge the value of a lease? Total rental per annum as percentage of list price?

Also if I need it in a month do I need to look at in stock deals?
