£500 for a c250 is crazy!

There doesnt seem to be any good lease deals on here
Premium Pack and 12k miles per annum. It's not a standard spec car.

Send private message to Fastbug, maybe he can offer you better deal on C-class. Quoted Audi A5 deal is expensive too, S5 was offered at similar prices not long ago.

Not much happening on here at the moment, the odd deal for some very non-PH metal but nothing to set the pulse racing.

What happened to the glory days when you could get a seriously interesting car for the same money, as well, some of the very non-PH metal being discussed over the past couple of weeks?
Lulls do happen from time to time.

It might also be worth investigating whether there is maybe some large macro-economic factor that may be exerting upwards pressure on pricing, leading to a dearth of deals at what were common price points...

Can anyone explain what fully maintained is and whether it's worth it or needed for a brand new car. How does it differ to a service agreement. I have had a quote of 327 maintained for a BMW touring 520d m sport with selectcarleasing (35+9). Is this a good deal or is it just a case of affordability to the individual. I am comparing to a mother deal: 1 year old c class estate with top spec (premium plus) that I have been offered on a 36 month pcp deal for 8k deposit and balloon of 14k at the end at £250 per month including a service agreement. Which would you choose. The insurance won't differ much. Not sure about fuel economy. Thanks for any advice.
You're comparing brand new BMW 5 series with smaller, 1 year old C-class. It means that on C-class deal you will be 1 year out of warranty period.

Cheapest non-mainted 520d is £12,141.80 total for 3 years. 9+35, 8K miles, monthly payment £275 including VAT. That's £2246.2 cheaper than your maintained deal. Check if maintenance will cost that much, but I don't think so. Depends how aggressively you drive and if you will need to change tyres or not.

Not sure about BMW service prices but if you choose 1 year old Mercedes, you will have to pay for 2 x B service (more expensive) and one A service. Mercedes PCP deal will cost you £16,750 total for 3 years on used car. You can have brand new one on lease with premium plus spec for £14,546.39. You must have seen how high is APR on used cars on PCP contract. Also, there's plenty of Mercedes cars in stock to choose from, you don't have to wait for factory order. I get regular emails with Mercedes stock cars.

If you're not sure about difference between lease and PCP read about it.

It's 12 grand for 2 years in a 4 pot C Class. It's incredibly expensive surely.

I posted about a C250d deal a good few pages back (£388 6 +23) that i ordered. When I got the order form something didn't sit right. The car was the older 7 speed whereas a 9 speed is now standard. I cancelled the order.

The broker then sourced me the following....

C250d AMG Line Premium Plus 9g tronic
White, 12k per annum
9 + 23 £372p/m Inc vat
Registered 31st March.
I'm just waiting for the Mercedes forms to come through to sign up.

I've got a dilemma as also fancy an A5 Sportback 2.0tdi s line Quattro Stronic. Have been offered one at the main dealer with £300 of options at £386 9 + 23 Inc vat. However, you really want the tech pack & virtual cockpit which adds about £40. My head tells me you get so much more with the merc.
The spec on a C with the Premium Plus pack is really high, far more so than the Audi. If you want it and don't think it's too much then go for it. There aren't any stunning deals at the moment so just go with what you can afford.

Wonder what that could be? No it's probably just the changes in road tax or that VW leased some cheap Golfs a while ago.

Including VAT? Seems OK to me. Works out at £314.58 amortised (assuming no fees) based on 10k miles PA. I'd try and drop the maintenance though, IMO it's not worth it, especially at 6k miles and Will they honour the maintenance contract if you go over the mileage?

Who's it with if you don't mind me asking?
Its plus vat prices from national vehicle solutions.

Maintenance was less than £20 month extra, Im pretty sure that a set of 19" tyres and a service will be more than £600 and they do honour it for more miles. I plan to do 8000 to 10000 each year and prefer to pay the excess charge *(hat have paid for unused miles).

Nice one thanks.

Yeah I'd probably take maintenance at that price. It may cost more overall but it's knowing that there's no other surprise costs that appeals to me too.

Although getting the price as low as possible on the monthlies tends to make it go down better with my other half smile

Pretty tempted with this deal, heart says Cupra 300, head says 1.4 EcoTSI FR.

We had the same dilemma with the FR vs Cupra. Head won in the end. Maybe we will go with the heart in two years time smile

US interest rates are going up and dirt-cheap money is becoming hard to obtain for finance companies and carmakers.

Premium Plus gets upgraded stereo and Comand, if you can live without that then go for the Premium Pack and save some money

Exactly, it's the car i want, the spec i want, might be a grumbly 4pot but its still 204bhp/500lbs torque. Besides, as i'm self employed i offset most of the cost as a business expense.

500 Nm, not lbs/ft. That's about 370 lbs/ft.
