I would talk to Ryder or Northgate. The main dealers are also definitely set up for contract hire - I would have a ring round see what's on offer but, as ever with leasing, keep an open mind about alternatives from VW/ Merc/ Vauxhall etc. There would need to be a very good reason for us to consider HP over CH for our commercials I wouldn't think it was a particularly efficient option unless you need/ want to show the asset on the books.
Isn't the mileage an issue with these commercial lease deals, I'm looking for a van myself and last year I clocked up 30k.
Ours are on 45k pa on a 3 year replacement cycle which is regarded as pretty low mileage by the lease co's.

Chaps, I have never leased a car, so forgive some basic questions.

My mother needs a new car - her 2003 Audi RS6 is frankly past its last legs and despite her sentimental attachment to it (it was my Dad's) it has to go. Too unreliable, and too far expensive to run.

She wants another Audi, probably an A6 saloon or A7 sportback.

I was thinking that a lease may be her best option: she has her own business that the car can be run through, or she can go personal.

Anyone have a go-to place for Audi? I'd like minimum hassle for her, so a service package/tax etc would be great (which is more standard in PCH I think?)

Her other option is financing a car through the approved used network of course. She is not wedded to brand new, but it does need warranty etc. Personally, I think she should just have a new car.

Diesel preferred (although not essential if she can get decent economy), has to be automatic.

Any tips helpful! I am searching through google as well. I aso need her to speak to her accountant about whether leasing through the business is the best plan or not: I have no idea what the tax implications are. She does about 8000 miles a year, her daily commute is about 20 miles in total, so needs to have a 10,000 mile limit on it, 5000 won't be enough.

Her nearest Audi dealer is in Camberley. I'm arranging some test drives etc, but wouldn't mind some input from anyone who knows more about this than I do (which is anyone posting on this thread!).

Help appreciated.

I'm getting £6948 for the 2 years.

Am I doing something wrong?

Also low mileage compared to the normal 10k - adds another £576 on. (at 7.2p per mile if that will be the excess mileage cost)

Total for 10k over two years is £7,524. £313.50 amortised. For a Manual too.
Still not a bad deal for the moment. I can't find one comparable...

Drive the Deal will get you the best deal on a new Audi rather than talking to the dealers, if you are lucky the local dealer will then match it.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread to ask for advice, if very wrong then please advise where is better.

My daughter has 6 months left on her personal lease with Arval on a BMW.
After a split with her partner she needs to apply for a mortgage. So wants to reduce financial commitments.
She has rang Arval and asked if she can pay them the 6 months left in one lump sum, they so no. She asked could she hand car back, yes but she has to pay remaining payments, ok expected. She also asked she transfer to someone else, told no.

So the guy she spoke to is saying they want the 6 payments monthly, no lump sums, whether she has the car or not? Ideally she would like to pay the 6 months now and have less monthly outgoings which will affect her mortgage application.

Has anyone else had this experience? Is there another option? Thank you in advance and sorry for a thread hijack, it may be of interest to others though?

If she still wants the car, get her to transfer the 6m money to you, and change the DD account to yours. Then she won't have them on her account.

£2400 deposit. (It's +VAT)

With admin, works out at £227.50 per month all-in.

The Curpra black deals appear to be making a return on Freedom and Central Vehicle leasing.

Audi A4 Diesel Avant 3.0 TDI 272 Quattro S Line 5dr Tip Tronic

£316.80 inc vat on a 6+23 10K deal

Speak to Simon Moss

No connection with them myself, just found this and my XC60 doesn't go back till next year. Shame as it's a cracking deal for an understated car that does 0-60 in 5.3

Shame. If it was anywhere near that price on 20k, I'd take it today frown

Thanks for the heads up. That was my thinking too. Will see if I can talk some sense into him.

Thanks for the reply, I don't understand what you mean by "change the DD account to yours" . Do you mean me take over the DD? Surely Arval won't let me do that? If it is possible then that is a way around things?

he means you receive 6m cash then set up a direct debit to lease company. they will have no clue what has changed because there will be a contract number as the payee reference which is all that is picked up by their bank 'rec' system. and i still think the offer to pay the 6m all at once should be an option for the lease company. if they received it they would only chip away at it monthly anyway so i suspect the advice given is wrong (by lease company) or your daughter misunderstood

If it is a lease and not PCP I didnt think that it was viewed in the same way for mortgage applications because you are not financing the full value of the car.

Obviously individual circumstances but I would talk to the mortgage adviser on the likely impact of having it in her outgoings. If she has funds to pay the 6 months upfront then it seems silly that something like that would have a massive impact the lending decision
