There was a good one on vehiclesavers until they put the prices up recently - https://www.vehiclesavers.com/car-leasing/volkswag...
I think he was joking!
No jokes biggrin

I've a friend after a Golf GTD and one after a GTI, R or petrol Octavia VRS but they seem thin on the ground as he wants a car this month. I tried to talk them in to A Class as there are some good deals for this month, but an A45 isn't as cheap as a Golf R and we don't really do a 'sporty' diesel. The A220d is auto only and he wants a manual. See, I wasn't joking laugh

£297.05 plus VAT?
No includes vat! I have a written quote valid until tomorrow. Bursting blue looks amazing!
Assuming that's for a standard car it is a decent deal but one which dealers could match. Also there are rate changes happening tomorrow which are specific to the '90' (xc, v, s) model cars so you may well find you can better that deal come the morning!

I have a GTD at the moment which goes back in June. I'm after an R or a GTi as replacement but the prices at the moment are too high. If nothing comes up before June I'll just extend the GTD until a decent deal arrives.

I have had a quote through a broker for a golf R on following profiles. I am sure he wont mind me posting.

3 Door Metallic Paint/15k per year/6+23 - £2,586.38 Up Front - £431.06 Per Month - Includes Full Maintenance and Tyre's.

3 Door Metallic Paint/15k per year/6+35 - £2,220.26 Up Front - £370.04 Per Month - Includes Full Maintenance and Tyre's.

I am hoping to order an A5 today, 6+23/coupe/15k per year/2.0 Petrol TFSI S-Line/Fully Maintained and Tyres - £2,640.00 Up front and £400 a month.

Both VW deals through Arval. Audi Deal unsure who this is through but broker sourced so has admin fee on top at circa £250.00 Hope this helps some.

Is the R the new face-lift model?

520 a month! yikes

Appreciate the uplift in mileage and maintenance but even so, that is eye watering.

Apologies, that cost provided includes VAT. I should have mentioned that above. It is a PCH Quote.

I didn't add VAT - I calculated the PH Thread certified 'Amortised' cost smile

(Dep + monthly) / term

Apologies, yes it is by no means cheap, however, leasing is only going one way as far as I can determine.

3 years ago I had an A6 on similar terms to above for £325 a month and a close friend had a CLS for £330, those days are long gone!

Is it worth paying through the nose for a high mileage lease when excess miles are usually the cheaper option, especially when the best deals are available for the low mileage leases?

If you took the often bargain 5k per year deals, at VWFS excess rate of 6p/mile that would only cost you £50/m to do 10,000 extra per year but if you pre-pay for miles I bet it goes up much more than £50/m for the same 10K extra per year.

And if you do less miles than you've paid for you don't get any money back!

Also, do you really need maintenance for a 2 year lease?

My thoughts exactly. It will only need 1 oil change probably in 2 years.

That quote includes tyres, which at 30k contract mileage will need doing. Maybe twice in an R if you drive it as it's supposed to be driven. So that's another 6/800 quid of cost per set probably.

I work in construction and in three years have had 13 tyres on my A6. Maintenance package which includes tyres is therefore a no brainer.

I work in construction too, but I don't use my car as a dumper truck, so in 2 years it has had zero tyres! What are you doing with your A6?

Be interested to read the terms on "excessive" tyre wear and what they judge as "reasonable use".

Hi Guys

Bit of a lurker here but thought i would try and get involved. I know most are looking for Sporty type premium cars but in need of a new car fast.

Looking for a decent all round spec for driver comfort that is big enough for a family.

The new Peugeot (Don't laugh) 3008 GT Line has caught my eye as I just like to be different and there is not many around, good spec and an interior i just love. However i'm not clued up on deals and working out true cost etc.

I have found: Is this a half decent deal?

Peugeot 3008 2.0 diesel GT line
24 months
8000 miles
initial payment of 3 x £297.54 = £892.62
Admin = £198
23 x £297.54
OTR = £28500

Any advise appreciated

Nor do I, but travelling to various sites has resulted in a selection of punctures which have been irreparable over the years. Out of the 13, I would say 6 have been for wear and tear. The car is well cared for, Scottish roads and construction sites, less so.
