With previous leases I have had the tyre had to be replaced with original factory spec tyres but each lease company will have their own rules.
"Factory spec" is what is written on the tyre approval sticker in the door jamb. The factory tyre brands change week by week depending on what was available at the build time, its not possible for a lease firm to ask for a particular brand.

As long as it meets the approved size and load ratings on the sticker. Be that a £400 michelin or £45 pyongyang ditch finder.

Don't be ridiculous, of course it would. But if the OP had owned the car, extra mileage wouldn't have reduced its value.

I'd add that 8ppm for a 520 seemed very fair value.
The base deal was ~30ppm, so the more miles the cheaper ppm it became.

It would still have broken down! but it was under warranty anyway?

PCP end value is mileage dependent too. If you go over the PCP agreed mileage they will reduce the value / increase the balloon payment which will leave you out of pocket if you want to buy it or a reduced trade in figure or a bill to hand it back.

Same if you own it. If you do more miles in a new car you always pay in the end.

8ppm on a 520d is a bargain! don't know what OP is complaining about.

Sorry, I should be have added a sarcasm tag! Agree that 8ppm is extremely reasonable.

Does anyone know of good deals on the new Skoda Kodiaq Edition 150 DSG 4x4?

I've been offered the following from a Skoda dealer:

6+23 with 10k miles per annum - £2250.14 deposit + £375.02 pcm. Kodiaq Edition Model 150 DSG 4x4?

I've also looked at the superb sportline estate, which is working out roughly £90pcm cheaper, which is turning to be hard to ignore...

that deal is approx. £150PM more than the recent Volvo XC60 deals, the Volvo might be outgoing but £150 is a lot of dosh per month.

Vauxhall Astra 1.4T 16V 150 ELITE 5DR

9+23
£124.85 inc VAT*
5k miles
7.21ppm excess mileage

  • includes metallic paint if you ring them.
I think this is a bargain - £4k for 2 years motoring - for a 150bhp/0-60mph 7.8s car with a good number of extras. You get
front/rear heated seats, heated leather steering wheel, Sienna leather upholestry, sports front seats, 17" alloys,Bluetooth, cruise control, electric folding door mirrors, LED DRLs, 2 USBs in rear seat

I had a look at one at the dealer's. Sufficiently spacious. Not as pretty as a Focus in this range, but still a decent looking car. Colour choices aren't great though. We need a second car and my kids will love the fact this has rear heated seats!

Select Contracts are also offering the car for about £10 more per month.

Obviously missed the rolling eyes smilie angel

I think we all know the car breaking down was no fault of leasing and neither was the fact he went over his agreed mileage limit and then had to pay a very reasonable PPM figure wink

That's a very good deal in my eyes.
I've got the finance docs for my Fiesta in front of me .... the only thing that the Fiesta has extra is Nav ... very hard to not change.

I work this out to be £171 a month on a 1+ deal.

You can get Elite Nav for £6 more per month.
I don't want Nav because I never use it and always refer to Google/Waze. Being a lease, I couldn't care less about re-sale value

The Astra has CarPlay as standard though, so it should be even less of an issue. It does lack parking sensors, strangely.
