I've been offered an 'old shape' Golf R for £288 inc on a 6+23/10k (5dr manual). I know that's not as good as they once were but it seems fairly reasonable?
A bit off topic, and sorry for asking this (!), but what roughly were the Golf R deals? I seem to recall they were so good that they were clearly less than the depreciation would be after the two years if you bought it outright? - lots of clearly ex lease R's about at the moment in what I assume were solid/free colours, base spec for 19-20k.silent ninja said:
You can get Elite Nav for £6 more per month.
I don't want Nav because I never use it and always refer to Google/Waze. Being a lease, I couldn't care less about re-sale value

Fiesta or Astra, that's the question haha.

Just ordered the Astra Elite Nav. The extra inch of screen estate won me. Also as pointed out above, the instrument cluster has a an additional colour screen with the dials, plus an upgraded steering wheel, shark fin antenna. Finance check gone through, awaiting order form now.Fiesta or Astra, that's the question haha.
The Fiesta is a small class of car. There is no comparison here. The Astra goes against the Focus, Golf etc The Elite spec comes with the upgraded 6 speaker sound system plus all the stuff I mentioned in my original post. It's a bargain in my opinion.
I'm going with Cosmic Grey which is a new colour for 17MY cars. None of the colours excite me but this one seems nice enough.

The cheapest price, if memory serves me right, was about £6k for a solid red manual with 5k pa on a 2 year term - around £250/month averaged out. Since then, the RRP has gone up by over a thousand, add to that the £/€ change and Brexit...we won't see anywhere near those prices for a Golf R again.Unless VW balls up on another scandal.

that deal is approx. £150PM more than the recent Volvo XC60 deals, the Volvo might be outgoing but £150 is a lot of dosh per month.
Jonny, who was that deal with. I'd happily have the Volvyo and save £150 pm... The only ones I can find are a base level XC60 for about £90pm less...

I paid £2400 deposit, £179 per month over 2 years on a 10k Mileage allowance. It goes back in 9 days though xjay1337 said:

We had one delivered last week and have been very impressed. We went for the sri nav as I couldn't stand the wheels on the elite. This is to replace my 335d Xdrive for a couple of years of cheap motoring and so far all is well. The interior while made out of some cheap plastics feels more modern than the 3 series, but the lack of reversing sensors is the only negative. Fiesta or Astra, that's the question haha.
Quite a lot of car for the £120 a month!
Bit more information regarding the 4C offer. A few pages back I quoted the following prices with a dealership:
5k pa - 9+23 term - £295/month inc VAT
8k pa - 9+23 term - £317/month inc VAT
10k pa - 9+23 term - £332/month inc VAT
These prices are based on factory orders (with a 6 month lead time), so it's taking into account the VED increase.
If you can find a dealership with a stock car and it's delivered before 31st March, then you can get approx. £15 off per month. Essentially you'll save about £400 over the term.

I didn't get the best deal going, but still pretty good:£230 / month inc VAT on a 6+23, 5k miles per year. That included about £18 a month for metallic paint.
