I have a 520d m sport, through arval.

£379 a month for 2 years.
I paid 2.5k upfront (deposit) for it.

20k miles, which turned out not to be enough. 8p per excess mile.

Will never get a lease again, going over mileage is painful frown

Plus i broke down, dpf went at 24k miles.
If you PCP'd it wouldn't have broken down and you wouldn't pay excess mileage charges when handing it back either rolleyes

And doing 5k more miles in a bought car would probably have depreciated it by more than £400

WTF are you doing to kill a DPF in 24k miles?

My DPF died in our Yeti at 13k. Common problem on a lot of VAG or BMW cars.

On my 2nd x20d with no issues. Always use VPower diesel, but don't do many short runs.

These might be of use to some.... seem fairly keen deals. All from vehiclesavers.com.
I get spammed with their list as I previously had an E Class through them.

Haven't heard of a lot of BMWs dieing of a DPF. Seems to be prevalent with VAG though.

I recently ordered a lease Vauxhall and the form clearly mentioned the concerns around DPF and that the driver should be fully aware of how to maintain the car with long drives. Thought it was slightly odd -- it's the manufacturers/finance company admitting certain engines are designed for certain customers only -- but the fact they've had to mention it means it must be a big problem.

Unfortunately I found the DSG box on the VW Battleship to be woeful. It seemingly made sure that you never had any torque available with its awkward gear changes in both Sport and Normal modes... admittedly I only used it for a day as a loaner.

PCP maybe cheaper than the A6 Black Edition deal mentioned. CarWow is better.

I'm on around 20k miles in 6 months in a 2.0tdi 150 DSG and its not a problem for me. Decent amount of car for the money.

I like mine a lot. I only use the dash screen for iPod and trip computer tbh I use my phone for Nav etc. Dipped beams are not great, but full beams are ok.

Standard comfort, heated seats and adaptive cruise are good to have. My favourite random things in the spec are the puddle lights that come on when the mirrors unfold and the light strips in the door cards. Triple zone climate gets used a lot to send the kids to sleep in the back while maintaining a nice 20 degrees in the front.

I concur. See my detailed comments in the Alltrack lease thread in the VW forum. I basically use the car in manual mode now, and even that's the wrong way round.

Its a shame because otherwise it's really a great car with lots of nice detail touches and rather surprisingly good handling when pushed.
