I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a lease on a car that's decent for commuting? Looking for good comfort, good MPG and ideally 5 doors.

15,000 p/a mileage required
Budget between £150 / £200 / month
Ideally low initial payment also

I know I may be dreaming on the above, but hopefully something is out there!
Check the FIAT 500X deals, like this one : https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

Probably £200/month when you have added the excess mileage and fees. £1,000 deposit or so. Should be around £230/amortised (ie inc deposit, fees and excess mileage to 15k).

Good car for that mileage though !

Im with you totally.

Buy a C1 1.2 with a 3 percent loan if you want one is my advice at the moment.

Same goes for most cars I see.
I would agree, we've probably crossed the point where cash is going to make more sense more and more of the time, particularly at such low interest rates.

I'll probably extend the Tiguan deal if VW plays ball and kind of price the 3rd year in line with the original deal but beyond that I'll look at buying again.

Thanks for that. It's just occurred to me however that my old man has 3 cars but only really needs 2! So I will be asking him for one. Hopefully the TT

Hmm, not sure I'd agree with that. Had a test drive in one recently and I thought it was a poor car.

I know the car is not long out, but am wanting a Mazda MX-5 RF for some daily driving and weekend fun.

Any amazing lease deals out there?

I've been looking for one too, but at the moment prices seem to be significantly higher than the normal soft-top. Can't quite justify the extra for a slight drop in performance, but quieter motorway runs!

Lease prices on the regular MX5 are poor value, so I can't see the RF being any better.

Agreed, amortised looks cheap to run, but still poor value at around 1/3 of the value of the car. Plus coming up to the summer I'm guessing deals on convertibles will be sparse.

How about the Alfa 4C coupe? I saw an amazing deal about a week ago, but I annoyingly can't find it now. It was about £284/month and low deposit. I cant find the deal for love nor money. I should have saved the link, oh well.

It was a dead deal. Misprice so it was not honoured. There's a thread about it in the Alfa forum.

Check the last post to see if it worked out, because last time I read it, it was IT glitch.

Not yet! ETA for Superb 24/4 but not confirmed yet smile The X-type is lovely and quiet/smooth compared to Qashqai, shame it is a manual with no cruise...

It would appear 21st century motors are under cutting the Simpsons skoda deal.

£299 + 23 £257 Inc VAT 10k miles. Similar deals on estate and DSG models.

Look them up on Facebook. I am tempted at these prices.

14 week lead time

£299 processing fee. So there or there abouts the same as Simpsons. Although Simpsons may improve their offer if pressed?

I called Freedom about this Porsche Cayman deal mentioned earlier - http://www.freedomcontracts.com/Porsche-Cayman-2.0...

Now it's solid paint, not metallic as it was advertised before. Car can be customised subject to price adjustment, delivery is 16 weeks as quoted on website. I read a bit about new Cayman and from PH posts it looks like there's long waiting list so there must be some slots available at few dealers.

I also looked into values of used ones and 3 years old Cayman with PDK is for sale at Autotrader at £34K, webuyanycar price for the same car is £31K. I treat it as trade-in price. Considering it costed new around 42K, I think it's worth buying one rather than PCP/PCH one. Leasing cost for manual, basic model without any extra option is 17,916.89 for 24K miles total during the leasing period.

21st Century Motors is owned by Mark Conway a good mate of mine - you will have no problems.

Ya, when you can get a decent preowned Cayman S with meaty engine for 30k, and probably sell it on for 20-25k in 2 years' time, it makes little sense to spend 10-20k on a new Cayman lease. Even factoring in repairs, MOT and servicing, it still works out much cheaper.

That's a shame as I have really started to fancy an mx-5 - the PCP deals are to rich for me so I was hoping to get a good lease..

Hi can anyone help. I'm looking for a Golf R Estate lease deal, on the new 310 version.

Ideally a small deposit, over 24 months @10k miles.

Current deals don't seem what they were a year ago and the best I can find is through Yes Lease 1+23 at £394 / month.

Forgive me if this is an obvious question but is now a good or a bad time to pick up a deal? New model so in short supply, so less deals, but as it's new, lower depreciation so potentially better deals? Also end of March is historically a decent time for lease deals. Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated? I'd rather hold out a bit longer if deals are likely to pick up...
Maybe trying asking on the VWROC website. I bought mine, so cant answer about the lease options. It seems the R has been pretty popular for leases. I have the estate and you wont regret getting one, it's an amazing all-rounder. I do prefer the current version rather than the facelift R, but good luck in your search.

PS: I don’t know why the R’s were so cheap a year ago. There seemed to be so many lease deals on the R. I got a 20% discount on my purchase, but you are right, those deals definitely aren’t there anymore.
