We'll be gearing up for September then should have plenty of stock. I reckon we'll have registered around 2500 cars in March come close of play Friday. I have a love/hate relationship with registration change months

Not yet, they'll probably send out the details last thing Friday or early next week. We'll then have a meeting to decide how much additional money we'll put behind models depending on stock availability. Us sales monkeys usually work blind for the first 10 days or so in to a quarter!

WHats happening with lease deals ?

I'm enquiring about deals that are listed at £209 and they are coming back with £269 !!

Is the new VED really costing that much more ?

Is "we" your whole group? Maths says the average MB dealer does something like 1000 cars per year.

Currently considering an offer on the new octavia VRS from Hub Leasing which is better than the Simpsons offer.

The Hub rep mentioned VED potentially being added on but didn't make it sound like a certainty. Got a few more firms trying to compete, and 2 have agreed to match the deal. However, one (who cant compete) has told me he thinks there's no profit in the deal I've quoted and that the VED will be wacked on once the contract starts.

Thoughts??

The £240.53 on 3+23 deal I have taken from Horton Skoda (still the cheapest I think as there are no fees) was confirmed to include the new VED rates.

Cheers. The offer from Hub is £260.36 for hatch and £276.40 for estate both on 1+23 deals. No fees.

The hatch is £5 cheaper than the Horton deal you have quoted over the entire contract, so not a lot in it but decent considering the small initial. Both Horton and Simpsons have agreed to match. I will have to get Hub to confirm VED status.

'We' is our office, last year we did around 12000 units. We're not your average dealer biggrin

There's loads more a little bit more money, I can't imagine it would be the same for all of them?

Don't do it. We've got a really well specced one and it's an awful car. No matter how good the deal is, it would never be good enough to get us into another one
