If you want maximum bang for your buck as well as the chance to own a true sleeper car then this Vectra is worth a look:
2007 Vectra Elite 79k 250bhp

More sensible version of the above:

Haggle & a ST Mondeo could be sat on your drive.

I test drove an accord yesterday and gotta say I loved it.
Saw this http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016... and was checking the mot history on https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ and over the past 11 years it only failed mot on brake pads and tyres. Can this even be real or am I just being paranoid?
Entirely possible, like I said above the only non-maintenance item that's ever been replaced on ours from new is a set of anti-roll bar linkages and the MOT history is similarly clean. If you look at the original owner profile, particularly of the non sporty models then there's a good chance it'll have been well looked after.
The car linked to seems to have gone now but it looked quite good when I had a glance at it earlier. It might be worth holding out for an executive model if you can. The heated leather really makes a difference to the interior and the toy count is quite impressive. HIDs, sunroof, DVD satnav, electric seats, cruise, climate control and an upgraded hifi system. The smaller wheels typically found on SE's will mean an even better ride and cheaper tyres though.

How does this look? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...
History looks okay, bodywork looks okay, interior looks well kept(although it's just one pic so who knows).
Just not too sure about the colour

I regard these as 100k mile/10 year service items. I replaced a set on the Vectra and I've had to do both front and rear on the Mondeo, for MoT 2014 and MoT 2015. All at about 100-110k miles. They do take some load and there isn't a lot of rubber in them so once they start knocking the fix is obvious and (usually) easy enough.Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
