Can probably a fair few of them for six grand.

Suspect he means that have been made more recently than 2005.
Indeed. My point was that even Rover could achieve this bench mark eighteen years ago, so it shouldn't be difficult to better now.

I had a 500 Abarth Esseesse until recently, remapped to 185bhp.

What a hoot that thing was. Awful suspension though, speed bumps were not kind or forgiving on it.

Until the DSG borks and it uses all the oil in the County. Bit of an exaggeration I know.

Nice enough cars, I just don't trust the twin charger / DSG combo.

Never experienced this tbh. Few mates have had them some even Stage2 cars.

As the Admin of LeonOC I'm around SEAT's most of the hours of day as well.

Test driven a grande punto sporting t-jet before, 120bhp I think. It went surprisingly well. Steering wasn't much good though very light and uncommunicative. Does it have to be small engined petrol? What about something diesel like the 1.9 engined fabia or Ibiza? A bit older and I'm no vag fan at all, but I've got an Ibiza fr tdi on a 57 plate as a work hack and it's surprising how nippy it is whilst still doing >50mpg

1.9 PD engine is a cracking engine, some people are running 350+ bhp on these now.
