he gets some nice cars in. well known/thought of in JDM circles. has some nice saloon W124 recently. no issue with rust on these. were sealed from the factory in Germany. it is the JDM cars that went without factory underseal, as they don't salt the roads over in Japan.

How about this one. Set of 16/17 inch 500e wheels on and would look perfect -

Just googled them. Doesn't make for good reading. You'd think PH would have some sort of standard for its trade sellers.

I've just found Car Dealer Watchdog and read the feedback, which I assume is what you are talking about.

I know you have to be careful of an individual complainant, but consistency is persuasive.

I've recently read up on restraint of trade and as a publisher PH has to be very careful about blacklisting or commenting on an advertiser.

Buyer beware I suppose.

Derek,
I've said this already, so forgive the nagging, but why not post a request for a 124 in the 1-5 Smoker Barge thread? Someone there will find you something, I've no doubt. If not a car, it's a rich seam of knowledge to be tapped.

I'll be in the market around May. My son wants my current car, a Focus estate, but not until then, for business reasons. I could buy another earlier, but that will mean I have three cars as my son has nowhere to store his. I'm also after something towards the top end of the range as I'm considering taking up concourse and I didn't think Smoker Barge described the quality I was after.

But I'll go there now.

Preparation is first-rate, but everything else isn't.

The one I bought couldn't have been prepared to any worse standard in fact I ended up selling it for scrap/spares repairs.

To be honest, unless you can read Japanese, you might get a receipt for dry cleaning.
You can get smartphone apps which will translate on the fly, reading it using the camera. Massively useful when in Tokyo!

I remember the background from his eBay sales from years ago. Used several accounts by the end IIRC.

He seems to have come on leaps and bounds by the looks of things, 60 cars in his stocklist

Or you can have an elder son who is fluent in Japanese have him marry a Japanese woman who has a degree in English Language. I've got it cracked.

Ok but for the rest us not so well endowed what's the best way of importing japanese?
Once you have the FOB price to get it on the ship, paid for shipping??? and insurance in case it sinks ???
Is it about +20% duty +10% vat so on a 15k car youre looking at another 5k-6k to get it at your door?
than make it compliant by making the speedo read in mph and add the fog light
