Not for the 99.99% of driving enthusiasts that would need the payments to be less than zero before they would even consider a diesel convertible. biggrin
i wouldnt take an oil burner if you paid me £300 a month

This is a very impressive oil burner though. I've driven it in a 3 Touring and it's brilliant.

Lol, granted a convertible would not be my preferred choice, but its a lot of car for the money, goes well and those monthlys are seriously competitive on a 51k car!

Plus ive got a bike for a proper manly speed fix :P

Exactly. It's possible to be a driving enthusiast and have different vehicles, some of them a diesel vert. Some even use some of said vehicles on track apparently!

Is this one of the £349/Month £349 down deals? What options did you go for?

I had a 240i reel in my remapped Golf 7R, that engine must pack some serious punch!

I would have choosen one over an RS Focus but there was no way on earth I could live with its exterior looks. A shame really frown

I've recently moved to a 340i after 8 years in a v10 M5. I have to admit that the powertrain in the 40 is very accomplished, but from my perspective feels a little soulless. I think the on-paper specs do it no justice at all, and now that I've got a couple of thousand miles on the clock I dare say that the car is just as fast, if not faster than the M5 in everyday driving conditions - its just there is very little in the way of drama or driver involvement to communicate just how fast you are going.

just had a email from the dealer - finally got a m140 in so plan to get a test drive this weekend. Be good to compare it to the dirty oil burner....

Is that with 8k miles? I'm interested to know how badly adding more miles affects the deal

These looks like cracking value.

I'd be very interested but I'm right in thinking that the best deals will be over 4 years? I'd ideally only be looking for a 2 year deal but I imagine a lease would be cheaper on that term...

The best deals on this are cash at max discount (circa 23%) plus the BMW FS contribution if you borrow the minimum (£6k) and pay it back after 30 days at no fee and minimal interest. This will return far lower depreciation than pcp/lease IME. But you might have to sell at 18 to 24 months, counter-intuitively.

Nickfrog why the need to sell after 18-24 months?
