Not for the 99.99% of driving enthusiasts that would need the payments to be less than zero before they would even consider a diesel convertible.
Lol, granted a convertible would not be my preferred choice, but its a lot of car for the money, goes well and those monthlys are seriously competitive on a 51k car!Plus ive got a bike for a proper manly speed fix :P

I had a 240i reel in my remapped Golf 7R, that engine must pack some serious punch!
I would have choosen one over an RS Focus but there was no way on earth I could live with its exterior looks. A shame really
It dess have compfortably more power and way more torque than a standard R ... do they weigh any less?I would have choosen one over an RS Focus but there was no way on earth I could live with its exterior looks. A shame really

I've recently moved to a 340i after 8 years in a v10 M5. I have to admit that the powertrain in the 40 is very accomplished, but from my perspective feels a little soulless. I think the on-paper specs do it no justice at all, and now that I've got a couple of thousand miles on the clock I dare say that the car is just as fast, if not faster than the M5 in everyday driving conditions - its just there is very little in the way of drama or driver involvement to communicate just how fast you are going. I would have choosen one over an RS Focus but there was no way on earth I could live with its exterior looks. A shame really
The best deals on this are cash at max discount (circa 23%) plus the BMW FS contribution if you borrow the minimum (£6k) and pay it back after 30 days at no fee and minimal interest. This will return far lower depreciation than pcp/lease IME. But you might have to sell at 18 to 24 months, counter-intuitively.
