Lexus RZ takumi, complete change from the M135 I’m currently in but a lot car for money in a market where there aren’t many options! .
9 down, 2 years, 8k miles, £371 a month.
I’ve read the range can be shocking but with a 12 mile round trip to work it’s not the end of the world.
Currently Struggling to not think of Alan Partridge

We have 4 400 yards away . 2 fast, currently on .25p kwh which I think is OK.
They are not blocked by Teslas like they were previously when they were free!
Not looking properly until July when my Z4 goes back.
Let us know how you get on,tell all about the granny heaters!
Keep looking at these Lexus RZ 450e.
There is supposed to be an update to help the the bad range in alot of reviews but struggling to find out much about if it really does help.
Does look a nice car for the money, shame no leather/fake leather seats in a car that price.
Also would need to look at getting an EV charger. Anyone got any idea the cheapest option for this?

I’ve got a 24 hour test drive of a Lexus RZ tomorrow as I too am seriously considering one. Will provide my feedback on Monday….
I'd be interested to know if you can test their version of 'autopilot' on motorways, does the handling feel good (or does it wallow in the corners), and does the interior feel high quality. Gazzab said:

Are there any recommended companies to look at for salary sacrifice? Presumably some have better choice, others have better value?
Your employer ? Salary sacrifice is available via employers. Not always good value and often very profitable to the leasing co. When you factor in that and the reduced pension contributions it can be hard to make it work compared to business or private leasing. They do usually have insurance and servicing/tyres included if you want zero faff atleast.

This. Any savings you were going to make goes into the lease companies pocket, most employers will pocket the NI saving aswell.

I can probably have a lot of influence over which salary sacrifice firm my company signs up with (if any). So wondered if there were any leaders from a choice/value perspective. When you factor in that and the reduced pension contributions it can be hard to make it work compared to business or private leasing. Tusker and Octopus are common providers. One of my employers sister companies is an employee benefits specialist and settled on Tusker for our own group needs.Paul Lazzaro said:

It's worth investigating running your own scheme. That way your employees can choose whatever is the best business lease deal, from whichever company has the best offer at the time, and you just handle the paperwork from your side to cover the salary sacrifice agreement. There are a few complications, like what happens if they leave before the end of the term of the contract, but most leases have the option of handing the car back and paying a set proportion of the remaining lease. When I checked the alternatives, this looked to be the best solution, as otherwise, if you pick a salary sacrifice company to run it on your behalf they don't usually have the most competitive rates on the cars, which undermines a lot of the value.
