Thanks all. We're all long term directors (10y plus) and none of us are likely to be leaving the business any time soon. So running our own scheme could be a good option. I'll have a look at Tusker and Octopus, too
My co is about 600 people. The interest from employees wasn’t high enough and so neither the scheme provider or my co wanted to do the deal / we couldn’t crack a deal that works well enough.

When you contact those other companies, you can ask for example documentation and contracts etc. That's what I did, and I just then adapted them for the specific rules that I wanted to apply. Your company also save employer's NI on the amount sacrificed, so I used that in a 'man maths' kind of way to justify not adding any admin costs of operating the scheme, as there is always a bit of paperwork you need to get people to sign when they responsibility for a new lease.

One of the Johnson’s VW dealerships will but you have to find the right member of staff, don’t bother with run of the mill sales staff.

I’ve got a 24 hour test drive of a Lexus RZ tomorrow as I too am seriously considering one. Will provide my feedback on Monday….
How's you finding the RZ then? Went to look at one at Leicester lexus today. Mad you can't have the leather on the takumi, really not sure about the ultrasuede.

Had a premium plus in the showroom and the leather seats seemed much nicer.

Apart from that, didn't test drive but thought the car looked stunning and seats apart felt a very nice place inside

I went into Audi to ask them about lease deals. I was armed with a deal on lease loco that was pretty good for an a4 avant. Asked one sales guy and he couldn’t match it. Shame. Can’t say I didn’t give the local business a chance!

A few years ago, when I was thinking about getting our very first electric car, we wanted a run-about, so we were choosing between a Zoe or a Leaf. I arranged a test drive for the Zoe with our local dealership. After the test drive, I was invited for the 'chat' about the numbers. Said I was very happy to proceed, provided I wasn't going to overpay. I gave them a print out of various offers from multiple dealerships which were being advertised and said, I wasn't expecting them to be cheapest, but provided they were reasonably close I was happy to go ahead. The guy proceeded to launch into a rant, basically telling me off for wasting his time, the prices I'd suggested were unrealistic, I should be prepared to pay extra for their "service" etc etc.

I thanked him for his time, and then left.

Next I went to the local Nissan dealership and did the same thing. No ranting. They just matched the price I'd suggested (which was genuine) and I signed up for the car.

I recognise sometime different dealers are trying to hit different targets and can therefore work on different margins, but I'm surprised some people sign up for a car without doing price comparison.

Did the car you looked at have that 'orange' colour ultrasuede interior? On the videos that looks quite nice I thought.

Most of these Audi deals are done with a contribution from the dealer that makes up for the increase deposit. Aka a deposit contribution, many dealers refuse to engage in such practices and would rather get less custom and higher profits. That’s why you tend to always see the same dealers offering attractive lease prices.

This is an accurate assessment, there are some dealers Audi or other that simply won’t try and get anywhere near a price match.

They have their high margin price and if they only find 8 mugs a month to sell it to instead of 50 price conscious buyers, they are happy to stick with the mugs and not entertain the odd competitive deal.

Long term it can be a risky business going for low volume high margin.

That’s interesting to read. Not understanding how it works but logic would tell me that selling the lower amount wouldn’t do the dealer any favours with Audi themselves - surely the more cars they sell the more profit Audi make and therefore value/reward that dealership more?

That’s clearly not the case or the dealer would match the other dealers it that’s how it looks.

Is this a good deal?.

Grandland 1.2t Ultimate Auto 1x23 5k miles £266.96 12p per mile extra. From Leasingoptions.

I know there is Nissan Qashqais for cheap at the minute but their spec is terrible!. This has heated seats, steering wheel, heated front screen. Auto boot with foot activated. 360 camera plus much more.

I fancy something affordable and new, with good spec. Have got an Astra Estate 2016 Elite atm.

Yes it's not bad at all for the very good spec it comes with.

Alpha contracts last week quoted me £192.98 on a 3+12 deal so that's not the worst for a 2 year deal

I think I’ll probably order one tonight. Seems a good deal for the spec of the car.
They look great in the free standard white aswell.
