there's about 4 left if people are interested.
I called up but decided against proceeding after hearing about the fees and then the push for a bigger deposit.
Admin: £600
Deliver and some other thing fee: £250
Plus when we were talking I wanted to do 1+23 and he was saying they are likely to reject it unless I go for a 3+23 which instantly annoyed me so I've left it.
£850 in fees is a piss take when they are getting a kick back from the funder.I called up but decided against proceeding after hearing about the fees and then the push for a bigger deposit.

Does it matter if they pump up the "admin fee" or hide it in the monthly cost? Surely what matters is the total cost over the term of the contract?
How very dare they make a profit.Word of warning for EQC leasers:
My Eqc has been doing my head in with the stupid niggles
22.11.23 delivered with faulty wipers and screenwash blockage and coolant light on
23.11.2023 coolant leak, MB roadside tops up and replaces cap. Screenwash unblocked
xx.02.2024 refuses to start, “12V battery malfunction” - hard reset of car solves error
01.03.2024, coolant light back on, noisy/creaking sunroof, faulty wipers still there. Diagnostics reveal coolant has emptied again, topped up, tank checked and secured, new cap. Sunroof seals replaced.
18.04.2024 Lane assist/radar fault, excessive steering wheel vibration at 60mph+ lane departure does not recognise lane changes, intermittent “stuck pedal” like there is a brick under the pedal, can’t brake past a certain point.
MB refuses any error, car is delivered back to me with all faults - communicated back to lease co who is very understanding.
They did not pay for the wipers to be replaced so I paid but escalated to MBUK for refund
23.04.2024 Lease co advises to be rebooked for second opinion

Have you got a link for that please? I googled Swansway Motor Group and landed up at a "family run" business in the North West who seem to specialise in cars around the £4k-£6k mark!Volkswagen Tiguan

Thank you for posting this. I managed to secure a van today.
The original van I was quoted on had no options but was actually sold over the weekend. The broker then found another van with options but it had more discount so was barely any more expensive than my 1st quote. The only issue is lead time, I have to wait till June, which happens to work for me.
Thanks again, loads of metal for the price.

Nothing to do with that it’s about trying to be sly and instead of being transparent they are trying to make the figures look better than they are.
I’m on my 5th lease and have never been swayed by monthlies or admin fees. Always took a pragmatic ’total cost’ approach. It really isn’t difficult.

Perfectly ok to make a profit, taking the piss is not.
Dont buy it then. As already posted, check the overall cost. It may or may not be competitive.Anyway, I'm in no rush so I'll just keep waiting (possibly forever!)

I was fine with the 600 admin fee, and then the 1+23 but then there was an additional £250 not mentioned on the pricing page and also the push towards a 3+23 - "they'll prob reject this now on a 1+23 now as there's only a few left"
Anyway, I'm in no rush so I'll just keep waiting (possibly forever!)
Adding additional unpublished fees is just not cricket.Anyway, I'm in no rush so I'll just keep waiting (possibly forever!)
Pushing from 1 month to 3 months initial payment wouldn’t make any difference in my book. I’ve had some cracking deals over the last 10 years, most have been 6 months initial, latest was £3600. But the overall costs were great.
