I agree that finding a good RX-7 is a challenge, rust and parts supply are now issues along with the need to look after the engine.

It's true prices today are a lot higher than they used to be, but then equally E-Types, Miuras etc went through a period of being cheap old cars before being recognised as classics; that wouldn't necessarily put me off.

Which reminds me of a contemporary comparison test in Autocar containing the line "ever thrown a hammer, handle first?" in reference to the different layouts.

Sadly the only trace I can find online is the internet archive residue of where someone once hosted the scans
