Pre facelift GLC63S
Discussion
Does anyone on here have experience running one of these?
I know about the tyer crabbing - will have to live with that as no fix available for the 43 and 63 models/
The M177 engine is meant to be tough and well-regarded?
Have heard reports of a fault in the rear diff "Electronic rear axle differential lock inoperative" - requires a full replacement which is circa 5k?
Pano roof can leak though not sure is this prevalent.
Anything else?
Will be out of warranty - do MB allow you to get the car inspected and then buy into another warranty?

Assuming you mean pre the 2019 facelift, the sat nav is going to feel very old school (very small screen, no CarPlay etc). Honestly, it felt pretty poor compared to the contemporary BMW offerings back then.
There are various solutions available (no personal experience) but you may want to budget for an upgrade if that's something that matters to you.

I know you are aware of the tyre crabbing, as I was when I purchased mine. However, I did not expect the magnitude of the issue. It's not a case of it making noise and a bit of tyre skip, it's horrendous, dangerous.
I recall one time when I tried to reverse out of a parking space with the steering lock on half turn. The car was like it was on ice, I don't mean it "felt" like that, I mean it slid towards the car next to me. I tried a number of times to exit at different angles but it just kept sliding towards the car. Eventually I waited until the person returned to the other car and then I managed to get out. Admittedly it wasn't tarmac but block paving and it was wet. For me, it's not fit for purpose. I sold it soon afterwards.
