Doesn't affect anyone here, but just saw a news item that Honda had chopped £5000 off the list price of both models.
Yeah bit weird, the configurator shows £45/£48k but the home pages states from £39995, obviously in the process of updating the site. I guess it makes sense to keep it under the luxury car tax bracket for next year, rather than £5k + discount off list. I still don’t think they will shift with only £5k off, they are a £30k car not £40k.
You have a point with EVs being subject t the £40k 'luxury' VED from April 2025. But it's only for cars registered after that date.

Also, I noticed searching on A/T for the used ones available (Under £30k at 1 year old!) that about 75% are the Advance model. With it being £2200 for what would probably be about £10k worth of extras on other cars, it's not surprising, especially if you have it as an only car or use it a lot. They need to shift a lot more of the Elegance models (they may have a few in stock, hence the recent deals) and sitting it under £40k may help.

Parked the ENY1 last night with approx 60% charge, have just tried to open the car, it's not responding to the remote, or the Honda App... So I opened it with the Key, and the vehicle seems to have completely lost charge, as the Hazard lights wont even operate!

Waiting for the Honda Assist/AA to turn up

I noticed on Motability that both models are available covered by the allowance, the only difference is £500 up front for the Elegance and £1000 for the Advance - however there's an offer of £750 back on both (not sure if from Honda or the dealers).

There were quite a few Advance models kicking around - I was offered a few at different dealers. I was looking at 15K miles and one dealer offered me an Advance for £410, and Elegance at £371. I said I really wanted the Advance but tha was way too much and straight off he dropped the Advance price to £366.

I wouldn't have said the extras were £10K (at list prices) though - sunroof, power boot, Camera (is it 360?), few other bits & bobs. Couple of £K is good deal, but not massively so.

Out of curiosity did anyone get one of these deals from a Scotland dealer?
Had to go to West Bromwich to get mine. Asking around was either getting lowballed on my previous car or told none available.

By coincidence my initial enquiry was to a large Scottish chain with yellow stickers. On the Saturday we gave all our details, including for finance, and they said they’d be straight back in the Monday once they’d got indication of stock from Honda ‘when they reopen’.

On the Sunday I saw a much better deal with Brindley so made contact with them and had the deal done by the end of the Monday morning, at West Brom. Collected the car last week.

I’ve still heard nothing back from Scotland…..

Was pretty much the same experience. Initial enquiry to same place valued my car at £3k less than settlement figure. They called back later asking if I could put more money in and they would try increase the value if my trade in but deal would be more than advertised.
Made enquiries at another couple of well known dealers by the Wednesday and told all the cars had gone that morning.
Finally got one at Brindleys and sold my car for close to settlement.
A couple of days before I picked it up a couple of cars appeared locally but not in the same deal.
Sadly I have had similar experiences purchasing previous cars locally.

Update: it was a flat 12V battery.. Be careful about the indicator stalk moving from Auto (lights) to side lights..

Am currently getting 3.5M/KW... Driving with no AC, in ECO, using as much regen as possible..

Got in mine today to find every dash warning showing .. cycling through ABS/tpms/steering etc and bonging

Started and moved but refused to start charging, didn’t feel like pulling off trim panels to find the battery so drove anyway and it’s fine now.

Was parked on the drive for four days without charging (was fully charged) so maybe these get grumpy about being left for a period of time

(Embarrassing) but I'm actually quite enjoying mine 🤦

Although the Facebook owners groups are absolutely full of, I don't know how to exactly describe it, but tools!!
People who are so blinkered they would probably be a close second at the grand national.

Some EV owners definitely give themselves a bad name 🤣

Oh and while im here, fill your boots with multiple email addresses, https://www.hotukdeals.com/share-deal-from-app/432...

I've got £100 in the bank now, no expiry date

I rather like it as a commuter too.

When you say £100, do you mean 10 accounts with £10 each?

I've already got an Electroverse card, being with Octopus at home. frown

But I'm getting £27 credit on BP Pulse for buying insurance through the 3 pointed hat co. Yes, they get a bad name from some but they were over 10% cheaper than anybody else, still £540!

That's odd as the last 3 modern cars I had all turned the lights off with the ignition.

I've got too used to that now.

It'll still be possible to have the sidelights stay on (or be turned on after ign off).

If you're referring to the 5 year service plan, dealer said I would get details via email from Honda but not received anything yet
