500bhp, 900kg, proper chassis/brakes/suspension and a whacking great LS3/LS6 behind you. Hold value remarkably we'll, fully road legal.
That looks good. Any idea roughly what they cost? I don’t want to waste their time.

Build your own is probably about 60-70k now, built is probably plus 15k but give them a shout, lovely people. It's properly engineered, not to be confused with a lot of kit cars. I'm estimating costs based on mine 10yrs ago at about 45 grand built.

Not sure your going to get much more thrilling then what you already have, i dont think a caterham etc would suit you but you will only know that by testing one out.
The Theatre of this doesnt get much better, their Cobra replicas are stunning too.(ex owner)

Ditch the lotus. Keep the Mac. Then maybe go older. I try have things that offer completely different experiences. So alongside modern fast stuff I have a few old classics inc a race prepared MG which is a hoot with competition engine and big Weber. If I were you I’d go something old and competition prepared.

Didn't see a budget mentioned but if there's a McLaren in the stable then maybe a BAC Mono?

There's also the Arial Atom but if money was no object then I think it would have to be the Mono.

Unless you can find a V8 Atom but I don't think anyone actually drives those.

For ultimate thrills, go racing. There are loads of good series out there. The MSV 750 motorclub always looks fun.

BAC Mono was my first thought, or a Ariel Nomad?.

Also replace the Emira and get another Lotus but an Exige 410 or 430.
Downside is perfecting the entry and exit from it but for something fun with an addictive soundtrack from the supercharger might be worth considering.

If you want super bike thrills but a bit more protection without going too far then

Ariel Atom
Caterham
BAC Mono
One of these will be my next car. The poster above mentions an Exige 410. Do you fancy buying mine so I can buy a Mono? Haha

I’ve posted a few threads about switching round and slimming down what’s inadvertently become a collection of cars, and I’m now wondering if there’s another direction to go in for the “fun” part.

I’m extremely fortunate to have a McLaren 650s, Emira and GR Yaris for high days and holidays, but all three are still a bit sensible.

I enjoy motorbikes, which of course have none of the comforts of these cars, so if what I want is just a major step up in weather protection then what’s the most fun on four wheels?
what 650s and how much!?

I'd say get rid of the emira, can't see what it adds?

I’d the Spyder. I’ve no idea what it’s worth, I’ve had it for about five years now.

The McLaren’s not up for sale, I might swap it for a Portofino later in the year, but I’m not looking to move it on at the moment.
