Future of euro 6 diesel car in London

I'm about to pull the trigger on a fairly cheap diesel car.It's euro 6 so Ulez compliant.
I know the election is in a few days but changes might not be introduced straight away.
I know he's already said he wont be introducing pay per mile.
I've also heard that he might not be the most honest person on this planet.
Can anyone think of anything that should stop me from buying it ?
Pay per mile that might become x10 for diesel cars ? Ulez charge that might change from euro 6 exempt to all diesel cars ?
And yep,i know,just buy petrol but can't find any near me or at anywhere near this price.

Who knows, Paris were going to ban all diesel cars after 1st January 2024 but that has been delayed indefinitely now.
I would bet my house on Kahn being voted in again. I suspect it is only a matter of time before all diesel cars are banned from London, but it may only be central London.

The change that could be brought in would be to apply ULEZ charges in future to Euro 6 non RDE vehicles. This was a tougher standard that included a real world component. This was commonly referred to as Euro 6d and came into full force in 2020. So I would say if you really want to be sure buy a Euro 6d standard car.
Worth noting that many of the councils who are charging more per hour to park a diesel vehicle are still charging the higher rate to euro 6 cars…
