Nope, still can't see the problem. The only thing that may have helped was maybe a smiley wink after like "So that puts all you owners with 600HP messed about cars at sub £45K " winkmight have been a bit more obviously a joke then?!
Still thinks everyone needs a chill pill, and irrespective of the wording hope the guy achieves his price, although I'm not sure this thread has helped!!!!

Only after being told I'm a Nob and a Bell End, I don't think the response of you can't read properly is anywhere near as defamatory as being called a Nob and a Bell end!
Lol i must admit that mad me laugh..calling somebody a bell end that is...that would not offend me to be honest...i greet my friends as bell end as nobhead...although granted in this case i do not think it was intended as a term of endearment...

That was all a result of the misunderstanding though..which over the past few days you have been trying to provke a reaction on other threads,,so again it is understandable why your post was taken the wrong way.

lol..i agree ..when you read it back in the mindframe that he was not having a pop then it reads differently..but just saying how it is easily misinterpreted, after all a fair few did read it differently...alot gets lost in transation on the forums...hence we need the smilies to let people now in what context or tone we are saying things..like you say maybe a smilie would have made it read different..

Thats when u read it isolated but when you link it to the other provocative posts over the last few days all pointed at the 600hp nobs and then take into account the history/previous fall out with the 600 bhp nobs..you do naturally read it in the mindframe of it being another dig.. all the more reason that the wording and tone should have been made clear and then double clarified..so as not to be taken the wrong way,, as we can only read the written words,,it is more difficut to read intentions.

Andy has it summed up perfectly, Me the "Troll " as it would appear now! thought I would bring it to the attention of others that tbe advertiser thought it prudent to inflate the value of his advert by putting down others who have spent alot of time improving their cars, He was obviously aiming it at people with big BHP quite clearly by the
wording he used.

The title "Love This Advert" was because he had the front to refer to the forum and use derisory terms to further his chances of selling the car!

Where as we all know there will be much to do to make a standard car a really good car he tried to say that was untrue by dissing alrea modified overpowerd cars!

Hence, "Love This Add" infers what a cheek
B
Anyway RO162 I'm pleased to see that all your friend are Nobheads and Bellends which don't surprise me wink

Can you let me know what I said over tbe last couple of days that was defamatory against 600HP Nobles

Dunno whether all this Juno bashing is justified and care less. he seemed a genuine, knowledgable, and decent bloke to me - but back to used Noble prices...

...IMHO a 16000 miler M400 IS worth £45K all day long (not sure any were built in 06 though - 05 probably) AND a good, low miler M12 GTO-3R IS worth £35K. (and, no, I'm not setting my car up here). Can anyone name a car offering equivalent roadholding and performance for less (ere we go, ere we go...)? The Noble returns the lowest depreciation in its class - OK this side of an Enzoid or unfathomable (to me, at least) Sagaris smile

Despite AMG not setting his car up, I would like to add he has a one owner carefully used low miles car in excellent condition. You are going to struggle to find one with one owner and careful use these days. I would have bought AMG's but got lucky at the last minute and found my 12000 miler. I'd also had one the same colour before and fancied a change!

Here's the answers Boys to what's a 600 HP Noble worth?

As the add says "Worth More than some
of the overpowerd messed about cars"

So that puts all you owners with 600HP messed about cars at sub £45K

OUCH cry

And before you start I'm only quoting from the add punch
I honestly do not think it was a bashing excercise, this can easily be misinterprted as a dig...for the simple fact he is not quoting from the advert with regards to stating as if proof of how much the 600bhp cars are worth. In fact very little of the opening post was quote...i do not think it was not worded well..

Then you read this below...its the same as saying i'm going to put my flame proof suit on, because he is pre emptive with expecting to come under attack for the wordng he used...which immediately makes people think he wrote it to provoke reaction...

Juno said:
I the author of the content that can be can assure you, the reader that any of the opinions expressed here are my own and are a result of the way in which my highly disorganized and somewhat disfunctional mind interprets a particular situation .
Then the final paragraph, " if i were to accidentally defame, purge, humliate and or hurt someones feelings"
the wording used is not good, it is a contradiction the fact he wrote it meant he knew he could be upseting people, and then ended it with being unintentional, how can it be unintentional if you expect it?

The entire tone "seemed" to be aimed at knowing it would upset the 600bhp guys and revelling in that fact..(seemed to be)...we no know his intentions were not as it fist appeared...

Juno said:
I would like to expressly convey to you (the readers) that were I to accidentally defame, purge, humiliate and or hurt someone's person or feelings as a result of them reading and or acting upon any or all of the information and or advice found here it is entirely unintentional of me to do so.

getmecoat
I now understand that Barry did not mean it in the way it was taken, but i honesly do not think it was a bashing excerise, that opening post is easily misinterpreted as a dig, due to the underlying tone and revelling in the fact that he knew it would upset some people in his disclaimers. It is easy to read it different in hindsight, but the first time i read it i also thought it was intended as a dig at the 600bhp nobles.

So i think purely a misunderstanding which was due to the way the opening post was written, because simply it was not quoting, very little was actual quote.

This is not to start it up again or have a go at Barry, this is purely in defence of peoples actions and why they "thought" Barry was having a dig..

Well in my experience and obviously well formed opinion ;-) I would say any cars that haven't been modified in some way WILL need money spent on them after purchase. It might be easier for someone just to put an essential pack together.

I originally set out to keep my car standard, believe it or not.

But after buying from a dealer, I needed to do the floor and brakes shortly afterwards(including hubs and bearings).

This was only the beginning and some 2 years on I'm still replacing failed bits and pieces.

Pro-Alloy Radiator currently on order, new shocks recently fitted.

Most cars are reaching the cliff with age.

I for one expect I'll be changing my exhaust before the end of the year.

Th advert wasn't aimed at cars that have been upgraded per se, ( for better equivalent components)the comments in the advert were specifically aimed at cars with big horsepower, hence Juno saying what a nonsense the ad was ( and hoping for banter!).
