[quote=Juno]We've been talking to Terry about a 300hp Honda K20 build, he certainly knows his onions!

This little road leagal convertible would take some beating and ideal for those Sunny European Days hehe

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4190977.htm

On Monday we were sharing the Garage with one of the Pro Drive Built Aston Martin Gt Cars, with restrictors it was burning 2 litres of top spec racing fuel a minute, God knows what it would burn at an unrestricted 700HP. Thinks the Noble could do with a Bigger tank if running 700Horses!

Good luck with the Dyno biggrin

Hello Barry,

Lookes at one them before I bought the Caterham Superlight R which Terry kindly built the engine for, also a K20 310bhp.
Yep he really does know his onions and for his age is very rare, he works with many a top racing team and his knowledge. Is second to none.

Roger the other gentleman who has been working on my car with Terry was there with Pro Drive on Sunday, he was telling me about that car,
I was supposed to go, but had work so couldn't make it.

With everything in place it should actually be better than it is now on fuel,

Thanks, I am keeping my fingers crossed all goes to plane.

What's the gearbox???
The gearbox gear set is being made bespoke incorporating half cut Helical gears, and a stronger material for the shaft and spline, adding 12mmm to the length of shaft to allow for twin plate clutch.

I think it wii be about OUCH £'s but still cheaper than keep putting new standard mod boxes in and a lot less agro every 5 minutes!

Regarding the gearbox can't say to much yet about it, secrets act and all that wink
But I can say this it's not as much as you would think under 5k was the budget.

Oh I nearly forgot, there will be a group buy, a real group buy with no profit for myself, I will be part of it lol.

Craig
I think we are on the same page with regard what we want the car to do, I also want a real porsche GT3 alternative that I can thrash round the track and not worry about... not quite there yet... but am getting there smile

and come on, we both know we are both gunning for 700+bhp... least I've come out the woodwork and admitted it lol
Think we are Andy, these cars when built were good, but lacked the budget to make them great,
The only thing IMO that these cars lack is reliability, so when I'm done I'm gonna throw some slicks on and visit the main tracks, ie Silverstone, Snetterton , and a few others, and see what type of lap times she can produce without breaking down,
Think there might be a few surprises .biggrin

After all these mods, don't forget to fit a camera in the car so we can watch the Vids. biggrin

Along with the ecu we have replaced the hole loom to the highest spec, and then Everything from top to toe,
We have also added new fuel tank with swirl pot. The list is endless wobble

If you can top this spec for £100k you should put it into production, probably 130k time you add the Extra 30k for new chassis on top!

If I was ever to try and produce a car it would have to be less than 100k and a porka killer, and it wouldn't be carbon, and it would have a retro interior full of Crome . But I have no I tensions, so just a dream.

http://gt3europe.com/cars.php?market=false&key...

It could be a winner with M600 at £235,000 ???
The Aston is carbon so far more expensive, IMO the Aston would be easier to sell than the M600 even at the higher price,
Again IMO the M600 is 70k overpriced and had it been 160k would sell in greater numbers.
Carbon bodywork is great but for the road does the weight gain warrant the cost? I don't think so.
I would buy the M600, the only reason I haven't is I cannot justify the cost as any type of value for the car, but do I want one,.? Of course I do.
