Hi Phil

I'm definitely up for a set but Facebook is something I avoid. Can you please place me on the list anyway.

Kind regards

Tim

Just a quick post to say I think these look great. A subtle change but IMO a huge aesthetic difference.

Well done

Are we getting any closer to getting these?

Also, has cost already been covered? (no pun intended)

I've trial fitted the first set and they fit well !! Looks like cost will be £80 ish for a full set . We are just trying to work out the best way to fit them .

I'm down for a set on fb
My only issue with fitting was if you where to use seam sealer ......that would be best option I think in black so as to look like a rubber seal, are you going to see it through the lens ? Maybe the lip needs to painted black first .......or use clear ?
Pretty sure unless you fill the cavity you are going to see the sealant, suppose it all depends on how tight the fit is also,£80 seems good price,I don't mind having a set first and been the guinepig I have a bit of spare time to play with them to be honest through the week.just noticed the ones jay has on first page do have some sort of black seal/trim on them ?
How are 3 r ones fitted and made in relation to these.
Cheers pat

clear silicon always diss-colours, goes moldy and looks st as it weathers.

On the originals Paul C suggested the inner lip be painted black so it hid any uneven black sealant.

Yep thought as much.....only problem is you would probably have to paint the lip from inside of the lens, otherwise it may react with sealant and look worse,I did similar thing on a rear lotus sumbeam tailgate glass but using black glass primer and proper glass sealant worked perfect.
Unsure if you could use the black primer on plastic ? Window sealant is ideal as its black and looks like rubber when dry.

I was thinking of using a rubber gasket with a slot in it and it has a self adhesive backing.
This should be easier and look better than silicone. This gasket is on ebay.
