Hi as we have 8 people buying the water tank at the moment, did you manage to confirm if they will do that price with a sight glass included.

It looks like it going to be a big order from all of us so I'm sure they will help us out smile
I have asked Pro Alloy today for you, will let you know smile

Lets put it to them that with all this business we are putting their way, over 10 orders the sight glass should be FOC?!

Perhaps, but then again the more discounted business we put their way the more we reduce their profits for making all this. They're still trying to make money. I don't know how long these things take to make but I imagine there's a minimum price somewhere along the line.

I can see where people are coming from in terms of the sight glass but we must remember that Pro Alloy have already been very accommodating with the discounts offered and their willingness to accept bespoke orders and requests etc. I've been on forums before where companies have been keen for group buys but provide minimal discounts and set strict rules on these also. At the end of the day there aren't many companies who provide upgrades for our cars and we have to keep this in mind smile

Keep getting your names down guys smile

What was the verdict on these hard pipes?

If you have the intercooler already, is one already taken care of? So a smaller, cheaper kit required to have the rest done?

Just thinking....as if I get the expansion tank, it becomes an option. And the pipe going to my front turbo is very fat and flexible....ugly thing!

Has anyone managed to get half bulkhead hard pipe and half intercooler?

I always felt that having both filters with minimal ducting was best

Hi Guys

If you already have the intercooler you can buy the remaining hard pipes and it's £25 plus VAT less than the full kit. Jules are you saying having one filter up on the bulkhead and one remaining in the intercooler box? I'm sure Pro Alloy could cater for this just a case of specifying when ordering so easier to phone and speak to them at the time smile

I have heard pro's and con's on swapping to an upgraded intercooler.

How about on a street driven car only.
Any guys here who have done it street drivers only?
Is it worth it?

What mods, if any are needed to do the swap.

I already changed to a Pro Alloy water tank and separator.
Those were very easy with no mods needed, was just wondering if the intercooler is the same way?

Since we hit the big 10 discount,I may jump in.

I understand that it involves slight modification of the intercooler box - a bit of cutting and drilling holes where appropriate. I think they provide templates, so it's a pretty easy DIY job. And you get all the ancillary bits too.

I think there shouldn't be any detrimental effect to road use. - there's no disadvantage to getting better denser cooler airflow from the turbos. I only noticed the restriction from a standard 'cooler on track, especially in hot weather. A stifling of power on max beans once it got too warm. At least I hope it's an inefficient intercooler causing the issue.
