I wouldn't want to make over 300 pieces either, I don't think he realised how many people would want them. It's a shame no one can make a mould for a reasonable price, I had a quote and it was way too costly.
Lucky for me a friendly Nobler let me have his spare set

The local company I tried wanted £3000 to make the mould, they wanted to do a run of 1000 pieces at 60p each. Assuming I could sell 75 sets of grommets it would work out about £50 a set of four.

I just made some from a piece of rubber which only sits under the uprights, looks much better as you can hardly see it

Does anyone had any experience in mold making? Also does anyone know what material the rubber is? I have a pretty sweet SLA 3D printer on order and due in 4 weeks. I would be happy to model up and 3D prototype a rigid part to use to create a mold. I think making a silicone female mould would be a little tricky for me but I'd have to look into it.

His last post on Pistonheads was 10th February. I think it's safe to say this isn't going to happen with PaulM12 at the helm. I hope he's OK, little odd to just stop posting like that.

Guys,

Firstly apologies. Everything had to take a back seat, car inclusive. I had a few 'life' issues to deal with out of the blue, resulting in some changes that kept me very busy coupled with a change of job and a daily commute. I had completely forgotten about this and with my PH account being linked to my previous place of work' email address, I haven't received any notifications to jog the grey matter.

As it stands, I have the STL file I designed for the feet which was inverted to create the mold, and I had made some large molds ready for the first run. I am happy to revisit this but it will be a slow and low volume output requiring some patience or equally, if somebody thinks they want to pick up where I left off I am more than happy to pass this over.

Sorry again, life moves in mysterious ways and I had to re-prioritize things a little. On the plus side, I still came out with my Noble, and have just had it mapped by YellowShed which has renewed my love for the car entirely.
