I've had a lack of power (max boost 0.3-0.4) most of this year which given the weather until recently, was no bad thing but it's dry now and inspired by the "Help, loss of power" http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... thread I went looking for the issue. As a result (thanks to Blu3R and Zoobeef) found the actuator rod hanging off as per the picture but I'm unsure as to what keeps it in place? I kind of assumed it was a circlip of some sort, the rear turbo seems to rely on a blob of rust? but I don't know where to buy blobs of rust and making them takes time. My current solution is some garden wire which assuming it doesn't fall off will hopefully turn into the desired rusty blob.
Does anyone know what should be retaining the rod and what size it is?
For info I assume they are standard T25s on a 3R

The standard retainer is an E-clip, like a circlip.

Not sure what size though unfortunately, but you can buy selection boxes for not alot of money in halfrods or whatever.

Thanks

I *think* they're 4mm E clips as mentioned above. I'm almost 100% certain I got hold of 5mm clips first which were no good when I changed my actuators and then used the 4s.
