Can anyone recommend where to get a paint touch up kit? Mole Valley are pretty local to me and I assume they can get it but are they likely to stock this sort of thing or be able to get it quickly?

Anywhere else that could supply this?

It's Mallory Green that I'm after.

Thanks

IMHO no paint touch-up stick application works well on any paint surface. It's particularly poor on metallics and lighter colours and should be considered simply that - a temporary fix. Having said that, having owned a BRG Shaguar back in the day, it did mask the chips well. HTH.

I completely agree re the quality of repair with a touch up. However, I just want to get the bare fibreglass covered to avoid moisture ingress - and, ideally, in a way that isn't too visible.

You've only just bought it, don't say you've had an incident already??

Hi,

Mine is Mallory green as well.
Contacted the factory and they gave me the PPG fomula which I've put on the WIKI.
I guess there will be places online you could get some mixed.

Couldn't find out what car it was used on so let me know if you find out!

I ended up buying something close (maybe Renault- I'll have a look) and covering the white/bright green chips and though it's very slightly different it doesn't notice.

...though it's probably base and clear system so that ppg paint above would still need a clearcoat to look right!

Do they reformulate 'touchup pens' to account for this?

Well the story goes ... I screwed some padding to the garage wall to protect the car, since it's a very tight fit.

A great idea I thought. And it would have been if I wasn't the kind of idiot to not screw one of the screws in enough and therefore put a small scratch in it.

You can only begin to imagine how annoyed I am with myself!

If you could let me know what you used, that would be great. It looks as though Bespoke may be able to help me out but it would be good to know a colour that's close.

I did find somewhere that does touch up paints but they don't use the PPG system and couldn't translate (but thanks for putting the info in the FAQ anyway). They just wanted a 'code' which I don't have.

You are not alone. When my Nob was a mere 5 days old I kerbed a rear wheel outside my house - furious, stoopid, idiot all went through my mind - plus some other choice expletives!

I used Vauxhall Velvet Green. It's a touch dark so wouldn't use it on anything other than a chip. Got it from Halfords. Sprayed into a container and used a fine brush to apply.

I think it's slightly blue green rather than pure green. You see the subtle difference if you park next to a racing green one.

Has anyone got an off the shelf suggestion for Monza Red? I've got some tiny chips and wheel arch erosion that could do with tarting up.
