So, work has been hectic and quite honestly I hadn't seen the car for 6 weeks.
Decided it should have a run and you guessed it, flat battery, I had left something plugged in the fag lighter.
I couldn't even get in the car, so, off to hafords and bought one of their battery pack starter packs, it worked great, started the car and left it running for half an hour.
Great I thought, that'll do till the weekend and I'll then take it for a good run, so locked it up and walked away.
Unfortunately, it was a bit longer and the battery died again and again I couldn't get in the car so I'll use my trusty battery pack, where is it, bugger, its inside the car, bugger bugger bugger
The car is parked in an under ground car park with the battery side towards the corner of the car park, so I have had to buy an expensive set of jump leads and jump start it off my girlfriends son's 1.2 fiesta
Took it for a bloody good run then though!!!!!!

You can get in the car without power. Look in the owners manual.

Just gone tbrough the exact same thing,
car was in paint shop 3wks, I put a pin code in, so they couldnt start it, and when i went to collect it, the bat was flat, nothing, now i dont want to show them the secret, so allow tbem to charge it not realising they put a million amps through it, and killed, used jump leads to get back in and start, then drove home, then dived in and fitted a new one, never again, took me 6hours lol in 100 degrees, still gettin over the sunburn :-)

Sounds interesting. Is this a mod? I connected the battery up in the rear clam last winter. Any more details? With winter coming up it may be useful to prepare!

Car has a "hot" cigarette lighter so you can trickle through that. Ctek comes with a plug you can attach to the battery too for charging.

I use CTEK MXS 5.0. Permanently plugged into the lighter socket when car not in use. Brilliant.
