Probably a bit late but I would have sourced the Jetstream newer ECU as it has more features and u could add these extra sensor connection now.

The 2.5 I think only has 1 lambda but MBE can monitor 2. Might be a good idea to fit WB lambdas?

Thanks Martin ,do I need different trigger wheel ?,coil packs ? Boost solanoid ? Temp sensors. The ecu is a 975b 30l if this helps . I also see on the loom it has connections for 6 coil packs not 1 ?

Might be worth pinging a message to Steve2.5 as hes done a massive amount of work on his 2.5, including 6 speed box and 3.0 upgrade, which I assume would have included the ECU.

Hi Dean,
I have recently put a new megasquirt ecu in my 2.5
run like a dream now.
loads of extra pin outs for things like water injection ect
ECU works with 6 coil on plug, which iv changed from single coil pack.
Running coil packs which are LS 2 truck coils from the states.

Yes it has sailed ,I would just like to know if it is possible to fit the 3 litre set up to a 2.5 .coils ,trigger wheel ,lambda,s ect . I do have a complete 3.0 litre exhaust fitted so lambda,s not a problem just the rest of it lol . Will the 3 litre coil on plug set up fit my rocker covers. ? . What boost solonoid to use ?. To many questions ?. Hope someone can help ?

The 2.5 uses a ignition amp before coil pack so I think it reduces the signal down to 3 for the coil pack so u might need an amp

from memory. the throttle sensor looks the same but is the opposite way round, ie the stop position and rotation are different.
boost solenoid can be got from noble motor sport.
i cant remember which one but either the crank or cam shaft sensor is different.
3L cars only have one sensor for the water temp although this should just plug in and leave the other one still plugged in to the dashboard dial.
as for the coil pack- im not sure how it works trying to use to use the 3L loom on the 2.5L. Are you keeping the single coil pack?
