Alarm Led, normal or 12v one

Hi all,

I've managed to snap the legs off the alarm status led so I need to put a new one in. Can have lots of normal less, can i use these or does it need to be a 12v one? How could I know for sure?

Do you mean one with s built in resistor ? I don't think there is such a thing as a 12 volt LED

Ah right, i thought there was a difference with the components. I guess its a 'normal' one then.
