My local mechanic has a 17000 mile( I think, but not 100%) 3R he has promised to sell this year. It's his car, which he bought having driven my 2.5. He puts it away in the winter and only drives it occasionally on dry days. The last few times I've seen him, he asks me what his is worth and I've said no less than £32k for a private sale. I could let you have his number if you wanted to talk to him and maybe make him an offer. It's factory standard I believe and unmolested.

My advise would be to view as many cars as you can before buying and you will come across the one for you I travelled from York to Isle of white to view the one I picked after going to see 9 cars over 6 weeks I would work on theory a 400 mile round trip is a day out After all not many for sale and a seller would view you as a serious buyer so would be more prepared to move on price IMO happy hunting

There's some new adverts on flea bay ,they seem to be coming on the market with the better weather round the corner. [ I hope.]

I took a year to find my one, there was nothing really, then 2 came along at the same time.

Don't worry so much about age or mileage, IMO it's better to have more miles than one that has done 500 miles a year.
A nice big folder of paperwork is a plus.

any advise on where to find one for sale other than the usual advertising sites. Non of these cars are what I'm after , they're either cat D or a tad expensive. Had no idea how difficult they are to find when the search begun !
Get some pictures up Shaun.
