The price meaning I don't want to be paying 30k for a cat D 3r or 34k+ for a decent 3r. I appreciate these cars are becoming rare but I think dealers must be adding a good bit on for themselves and giving the owners no where near what they're asking. Also as has been stated on here before the dealers have no idea about these cars and can't answer much about them.i was nearly fixed up with a gto3 that didn't have LSD done and that wouldn't have massively bothered me but think I now I would rather pay the extra for the 3r with all the bits done .
Yes that was generalised but I'm quoting what long term members of this forum have said and tend to agree with them. Kerridges and bespoke obviously sell quite a few of these and will know them inside out . These unfortuanately arnt the only garages that sell them and the couple of them that I've spoken too in the past couldn't tell me much about the cars .As for what I think is a realistic price would also depend on the obvious milage , condition , history etc. For me it's a case of if the car is good I'll pay the price

I understand what you're saying but I tend to disagree with your views on pricing. I think 3Rs will start at £30k this summer and currently both M400s will end up looking like good value in 6 months time. The car you missed out on is unfortunate (and was a nice one btw, sorry!) but you'll find another if you're patient. Best of luck in the search.
IMHO this spring's prices are as stated last year...
£30K for a decent 2.5 or 3.0
£35K for a decent 3R
£45K for most M400s.
Dealers tend to try to make £5K on a sale. This went up a fair but due to VAT a few years ago so isn't all their "fault".
I'd have been interested in that red low miler M400 that went recently up north if I'd had the space - a superb motor.

Yes that does look decent Tuscany and handy that a previous owner has has gave it a thumbs up thanks funbobby , I have a possible viewing at a gt03 in Wales so options are becoming available. Hopefully my frustration is ended soon as its becoming a bit of an obsession watching the same old videos of them on YouTube over and over again and the wife is doing her nut with me about it haha
And if the 'Good value GTO 3' 2003' sells the very nice larch silver M400 2005 will also then be sold......which is often the way it works with Nobles and instaneously of course would remove 33% of the cars currency for sale on PH from the market!

Shame your selling Shaun, its one of the best!
As for dealers asking too much, it doesn't matter what they negotiate with a seller, the market price is the market price.

Hmmm.... one of those could not diagnose the hot running fuel starvation problem I had...err still have, but nonetheless they are nice enough chaps
